Highlights
  • Vizcaya Museum and Gardens - Just beyond the candy-colored buildings of the Art Deco district is this must-see museum and garden, Villa Vizcaya, where the early days of the Magic City are beautifully preserved in the architecture and spirit.

Villa Vizcaya was once the winter residence of industrialist James Deering and was designed as a palatial Italian Villa on tropical Biscayne Bay. He filled it with European art, state of the art technology and surrounded it with beautiful gardens that will transport you back to a golden age 100 years ago.

Presently, the residence and its extensive gardens operate as a museum and a significant tourist spot in Miami.

Wonderful Vizcaya - Transportation was on time clean and the driver gave us great City info going and coming. Vizcaya is incredible and the walking Tour gives great stories of the 1920’s and 30’s. A wonderful experience for all ages!

Beautiful visit - I have lived in South Florida for 25 years but didn’t visit Viscaya until last month, when family (my dad) came to visit. The house and gardens are very cool, very unusual for South Florida. I recommend it.

Superb Experience to reinvent history - We took a cab from Dadeland South and spent more than 4 hours at leisure. Though the sun was hot, we enjoyed our stay inside the museum and outside in the garden.Felt the grandeur even hundred years back. A nice place to feel if you have an inclination towards history. The entry ticket is 22$ per person.

Call an Uber or Lyft instead - I love using the Viator travel app whenever I travel - even to other countries. This is the first time in many, many years that I don’t think it was worth the price. You could easily order a Lyft or Uber and buy your tickets at the gate. Then you wouldn’t feel like you need to watch the clock so much in order to be picked up on time. Keep shopping for tours on Viator, but skip out on this option.

Don’t book through trip advisor - The upstairs was closed for repairs so there wasn’t much to see inside as beautiful as it was. And in addition to that, the audio could barely be heard. No discount on admission and we got taken w trip advisor: 150.00 for 2. Tickets there are 18 per person. An Uber would have been 12.00. Ripped off

Visit on your own - Visit on your own. Tour is mostly paying for a private transfer. Like others who have reviewed this tour, we had to call multiple times to get actual tickets. They repeatedly send a voucher which is not accepted at Vizcaya Museum. The Mansion and Museum are beautiful but we would have liked to leave sooner than our return transfer could show up. Uber and buy your own tickets

Poor Viator service - Viator never sent me an email with our tickets. We were denied admission after paying over $266 and it took Viator over 30 minutes to resolve the issue. Everyone was in a bad mood. We stood in the hot sun with a toddler for over a half an hour.
