Amazing guided tour on foot and an airboat through Everglades National Park. - Absolutely awesome tour of the Everglades National Park. Our tour guide was knowledgable and engaging. She pointed out all types of flora and fauna and then provided us information about it all. We saw Alligators (including babies), turtles, fish and birds. And a ton of different flowers and things. The Airboat Ride was also amazing and our boat captain super knowledgable and informative. Really a fantastic tour!

Highly Recommended Company! - We had a fantastic and smooth-running half day tour and can highly recommend Wild Lime Adventures! We were a group of over 30 people from a cruise ship. Our guides Stacy and Ryan, and French translator Emma, all had great enthusiasm for the environment and history of the area. The airboat ride was fun and we learned so much and came close to a number of wild animals like alligators, turtles, and many birds and dragonflies! Many plants were pointed out to us, with their medicinal benefits and other fascinating information. We did the tour, "Part Day: 1-Hour Air Boat Ride and Nature Walk with a Naturalist in Everglades National Park".

We loved it! - Amazing Experience: the balance of Science and History give a complete outlook on the Everglades. Lindsay is as our guide and her passion was catching. We got to hear alligators bellowing in their mating call. We were able to see many species of bird, momma and baby alligators and a young gator recently sent off on his own. Lindsay was patient and kind. Very engaging with my 4 year old son, full of curiosity and questions. The balance of the walking tour followed by the airboat ride was perfect for a half day jaunt. Getting into the park early was key, as we exited there was a long line of cars waiting for parking. The Wild Lime Adventure company was generous and very communicative making for a smooth enjoyable day. Be aware there is no cell service in the park so have everything you need ready ahead of time. We love the water bottle keepsake.

Quick Intro to the Culture and Ecology of the Everyglades on Foot and on Water - We were looking for an eco-sensitive air boat tour to introduce us to the Everglades. This roughly 3.5 hour experience fit the bill perfectly. Our group of about 15 started the day with an orientation visit to the Shark Valley Visitors Center at the eastern edge of the Everglades National Park. Next, we spent about an hour and a half with two very kind, patient and knowledgeable naturalists as we walked some of the trails next to the visitors center. We encountered a wide range of wildlife, including several adult alligators and many baby alligators. The naturalists did an excellent job of regaling the group with stories of the beauty and diversity of the everglades and the contemporary threats (and efforts to ameliorate those threats) to the park. The walk ended back at the visitors center where we were provided with water, sodas and a nice variety of snacks as we rested a bit before heading off to the motorized part of our adventure. For me, the air boat journey was the highlight of the trip. Focused on the 19th century native Americans who retreated into the area as the federal government was attempting to remove tribal members from Florida, the air boat trip visited two different small islands that continue to be used by members of the Miccosukee tribe. The air boat ride also continued our education concerning the ecosystems and inhabitants of the everglades area. It was also simply a fun experience to glide through the "river of grass." What makes this experience so special is the expertise and personalities of all the staff involved, both the two naturalists who accompanied us as well as the terrific "captain" of the air boat. I recommend this experience for anyone of any age who is able to comfortably walk, slowly, for two miles. The early part of the experience, the trails near the visitors center, is certainly accessible to someone using a wheel chair. Getting in and out of the air boat would be a little tricky, but my guess is that the trip staff has a plan for carefully and sensitively handling that situation. It would be worth investigating this further if you would want such a service.

Exactly what we were looking for! - This was the perfect way to spend one of our two days in Florida! There are two things I like to learn about a new place when I travel: its human history and its natural history. And we got our fill of both on this tour! We got picked up in Ft Lauderdale (not at our hotel, but a short Lyft ride away) and on the hour-long drive into the Everglades proper, our guide gave us a fascinating intro to the history of southern Florida, from the first Native residents through the Spanish, English and Americans. Then we stopped at a convenience store on the Miccosukee reservation and grabbed snacks before heading to the visitor's center of the national park proper. There another, equally enthusiastic guide took us on an hour or so walk and pointed out all kinds of plants and animals, which is exactly what we wanted when we chose a naturalist-led excursion. Finally, we went back to the reservation for an airboat tour with folks who grew up in the area and knew it like the backs of their hands, who knew exactly where to find a nest full of anhinga chicks or the basking spots of specific alligators (shout out to Mama the gator, who deserves her own Insta page if she doesn't already have one). We spent a lot of the trip on Miccosukee land and the tour company seemed to prioritize making sure their presence benefits the tribe economically, but without making a big deal of it or advertising it - they're just quietly doing the right thing and that's cool. Slightly disappointed in the trip back, in that we only had one van to return people to both Miami and Ft Lauderdale, which meant that my husband and I lost an hour or so of our afternoon on the highway - but we did get to see a bit of Miami, and our guide continued to be fun and knowledgeable, so ultimately it was OK. She dropped us off on Las Olas and we got to spend the afternoon shopping before heading back to our hotel. Overall, a really great trip.

Wild Lime Adventures Everglade Tour - We thoroughly enjoyed the Wild Lime Adventures Everglades tour. The min-bus picked us up near our South Beach hotel. It was a comfortable and smooth pick-up process and ride. Our guide, Lindsey, was running a couple minutes late and let me know in advance so we were not inconvenienced. Once we got out to the Everglades National Park, Lindsey and her partner did a fantastic job of walking us around and pointing out all the flora, fauna, birds and, of course, alligators (we saw a few of them close on the walk!). She also clearly explained the history, importance and current status of the waters in the national park. My girfriend, her 15 year old daughter and I all found it thoroughly enjoyable! Lindsey then took us to the boat dock that took us out into the everglades. Can't say enough positive things about the boat driver. He was throughly knowledgeable about the everglades and the animals and plants that call it home. All in all this was a fantastic experience and highly recommended!

Outstanding knowledge transfer! - We were very impressed that the tour collected us and our suitcases from our condo in Hollywood Beach and was very happy to drop us off at Miami Airport afterwards. Ryan, our tour guide, gave us a running commentary on Miami as we travelled to the tour start point in the Everglades. The tour started with a detailed explanation of the geography and geology of the Everglades and was extremely helpful in understanding its ecology. We then walked through part of the park where Ryan explained the wildlife and botanical content. The tour ended with an air boat ride across the wetlands to a couple of the Native American islands, one of which was being used for a rehabilitation program for injured animals, some of which were rescued non-indigenous species. We thoroughly recommend this tour for its attention to detail and Ryan's level of knowledge was outstanding and his articulation of his knowledge was always engaging and entertaining. We were only sorry that we could not do the full day tour due to having a flight to catch.
