Experience the magic of Mhamid’s desert with thrilling camel treks and starry nights under the Tuareg rhythms. Despite the overcast skies, the breezy weather adds a touch of adventure to your journey, making it perfect for exploring the Sahara’s wonders.
Embrace the Desert’s Breezy Charm
Mhamid, a gateway to the vast Sahara, offers a unique blend of adventure and tranquility, perfect for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience. As you step into this enchanting village, the overcast skies and gusty winds create an atmosphere of mystery and excitement. The weather, with temperatures ranging from a comfortable 69.7°F to 81.9°F, invites you to explore the desert’s wonders without the scorching heat.
Begin your journey with a visit to the Erg Chigaga Camp(https://example.com), where the largest sand dunes in Morocco await. The camp offers an authentic experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the vibrant rhythms of Tuareg music under a starry sky. As the wind whispers through the dunes, you’ll feel a deep connection to the land and its people. Rise early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, a sight that will leave you in awe of nature’s beauty.
Authentic Experience - I have the honor to write the first review here and will provide some informations: If you start the tour in the early morning, you pay extra. You will get to see how Nomads live, cook and you can drink tea with them. You also get to taste the bread they baked and when you arrive in the desert, you have a couple of more hours in the desert. I was able to communicate with my guide very flexible before the tour and was able to choose my pick up point as I wanted. English level is also sufficient enough. What I really appreciate about my guide is that he is honest and will tell you the naked truth about the desert and the nomads and doesn’t emphasize for the sake of touristic experience. He also takes care of non-smokers and vegetarians. After arriving in the desert, I was allowed to walk around alone by myself, which is exactly what I wanted. I stayed at Bivouac Chez Ali, where I had a room with comfortable beds, which kept the warmth during the night. For dinner, I had a tasty Tagine which was quite a lot by volume. Wifi was provided, the only problem might be to find some outlets. In general, it was a very flexible and convenient tour and the price is fair. I really enjoyed it! - Reviewed at 2024-02-12
A Night Under the Stars
As the day transitions into evening, the allure of the desert becomes even more captivating. The Camel Trek(https://example.com) offers an unforgettable overnight experience, where you can ride camels across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. The trek begins in the late afternoon, allowing you to witness a mesmerizing sunset that paints the sky in hues of orange and pink. As the sun dips below the horizon, the desert comes alive with the sounds of Berber music and the warmth of a campfire.
The camp provides a comfortable glamping experience, complete with a private tent and delicious meals. As you gaze up at the star-filled sky, you’ll feel a sense of peace and wonder that only the desert can offer. The following morning, rise early for a sunrise camel trek, a magical experience that will leave you with memories to cherish.
Highest of our staying in Morocco - I had a great overall experience with this TripAdvisor company. The tent is really comfortable, the camp is beautiful and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend it - Reviewed at 2025-03-02
