The site is situated approximately an hour away from Mexico City. The ancient city flourished between 150 BC and 650 AD, covering an expanse of five thousand acres and housing around 120,000 people. At its zenith, Teotihuacan was the foremost city within the Mesoamerican region, attracting pilgrims and merchants from far and wide, demonstrating its significant influence. Fascinating and Fun Private Tour - We took a private tour of Teotihuacan and it was super. Our guide, Yordi picked us up at our hotel in Mexico City in a car and drove us to the ancient city. Admission was taken care of and, with Yordi in charge, we even got to bypass the lines. The city itself is incredible, fascinating, and mysterious. We’d heard it’s really hot in the sun there, but we lucked out and there was a nice breeze and cooler temps on our excursion. Bring a hat and water if you go. Yordi was a very interesting guy and great conversationalist. He also provided us with water and snacks! The other great perk of this tour is that it’s a short day. Yordi picked us up at 9am and we were home by 1:30. Many other tours included mescal tasting and meals, and the time commitment is much longer. We loved that we could focus on the ancient city and still have time in the afternoon to take in more sights. Highly recommend!

Great tour - Ruben was an excellent guide. He met us at the hotel promptly early in the morning. He provided excellent information during all parts of the trip. He was very patient and accommodating. Everything aspect of the tour was well thought out for our convenience. He was thoughtful of giving us opportunities to see the tour without having large groups nearby. We highly recommend Ruben to any travelers!

Good private tour - Had a very nice private tour with our guide, Ruben, there were just two of us with him. Pick up at our hotel was prompt and easy. Ruben was very knowledgeable and excited to answer our questions. I also liked the tour was more of a 1/2 day tour so it wasn’t as long as some other tours out there.

Great visit - We had a great visit of Theotihucan with Pablo. The length of the visit (8-12:30) was perfect for us. As recommended by Epic Journey’s owner Andrew, I would advise to take a hat cause it gets warm out there.

Wonderful Day! - We had such a fun day! It was great to ride in a comfortable van, just for our family. Our guide, Yorbi, was really engaging to talk with. He was very knowledgeable about the former inhabitants of this amazing city! It was nice to have door to door pick up in Mexico City.

Fun and informative - Ruben picked me up at the hotel and gave a wonderful and fun tour. He was extremely knowledgeable and paced the day just right for me. I learned so much about the culture and history of the place, way beyond what I’d get by visiting myself. Plus we got to know each other and had lots of good laughs

5 stars! - Wow what an experience! I was picked up right on time at 7:00 am with Ruben. I traveled to CDMX solo and was having a tough time booking a tour or even a ride to Teotihuacan. I was surprised when I was picked up and it was going to be just me! Every other booking seemed to have a 2 person minimum. We walked around the complex for a few hours, Ruben answering any questions I had, but mainly him telling me about the history of the area. It was a great trip. Definitely recommend.
