Don’t miss this tour! - Our tour guide Alexa was unbelievable. So knowledgeable and entertaining. I could listen to her all day. She took us through the history of humans in this region from the beginning to the Spanish conquest, using the material in the museum, her own photos and even some drawings to demonstrate how different buildings were constructed. Well done!

Great tour with Alan - Alan was a wonderful guide. He was very informative, patient and so knowledgeable about the history of Mexico. We went over time and he didn’t mind. It is obvious that he enjoys these tours as much as we do

English speakers will need a guide to make the most of this visit - Alan was an absolutely fantastic guide. He has a great way of weaving individual threads into a common story. He is very experienced and very knowledgeable as you might expect but he is also very engaging. He has a way of drawing you in and make you really care about what happened 4000 years ago! and 500 years ago! This museum is HUGE and yiu just cannot do it justice in a single day - need at least 2 days. Unless you’re a Spanish speaker, I recommend you get a guide because the individual exhibit descriptions are described in Spanish language only.

Enjoyable Small Group Tour - Book an early tour and be st the Museum on time. Our guide Genovanna gave key information and then, gave us time to explore each salon on our own. She answered questions well.

Excellent work by Alan - Excellent tour with Alan. We liked how he started high level to get an overall understanding of the geography, then slowly diving deeper into the culture. The detail provided was excellent and his knowledge of the subject was top notch. Would not have got 1/10 of the information without this tour.

Very average tour - Confusing at the museum- no signs or indication of who we were meeting- waited in line and then had to get out of line to meet guide and go to back of the line

Disappointed - We arrived 10 minutes late to the meeting time and sent notice we would be late (via Viator app). Never heard back and group was long gone when we arrived. I attempted to call the telephone number provided, multiple times, and was never able to get in touch with anyone. Yes, it was my fault for being 10 minutes late (CDMX traffic!) but at least respond to me or provide a way to catch up with the group! I was very disappointed to miss the tour and hope my money is refunded. I have had other good experiences with Viator, FWIW.

Overcrowded, disorganized, and misleading- paid child ticket denied - Very frustrated with this tour. It felt misleading and poorly run from the start. Francisco refused to provide/recognize the ticket for my daughter, claiming she didn’t need one. If that’s the case, why did Viator charge me for a child ticket? That alone was unacceptable and immediately damaged trust. We arrived around 8:30 AM, but Francisco took ~30 minutes just to validate tickets, and only moved us into the queue after ~9:15 AM. The delays were completely unnecessary and set the tone for the rest of the experience. On top of that, the group felt much larger than what was advertised, which made everything harder to manage and far less enjoyable. This was not the small / manageable experience we expected. We dropped out less than 10 minutes into the tour narration because it was obvious this was going to be a disorganized, sub-par experience — and Francisco wasn’t even apologetic about the ticket confusion, delays, or overcrowding. Communication was also an issue — Francisco’s English wasn’t fluent, and basic questions about ticketing and timing were not handled clearly. For nearly $200, this experience felt overpriced, overcrowded, and chaotic, and honestly close to a bait-and-switch in how it played out versus what was sold. I even tried calling in the morning and couldn’t reach anyone. I would not recommend this tour.
