English tour guide was very knowledgeable - The tour guide made this museum come alive. He spoke very good English which was great because the signs were all in Spanish.

No better way to experience this museum - Highly recommended! I recently took the opportunity to visit the National Museum of Anthropology with Raúl while on a work trip to the city. I had previously taken his tour at Museo de Templo Mayor during an earlier trip - which was also a great experience and an absolute must-see in CDMX - and I was impressed by his vast knowledge and his ability to condense so much historical information in such a captivating manner. His tour at the Museum of Anthropology was no different - I learnt so much about Mexico's (and pre-Mexico's) heritage thanks to his explanations. This is such a vast museum where it's easy to get overwhelmed with so many rooms and so many pieces on display - however, you can tell Raúl curates his tour with absolute precision. Every piece he chooses to show tells a different story about the rich and diverse cultures that once inhabited this corner of the world. I also liked the fact that Raúl went beyond showing just the most prominent pieces - there were many absolutely fascinating pieces that I would have totally missed without this tour. All in all, the 3 hours passed by in a breeze - and that says a lot for someone who doesn't usually enjoy tours that run over 90 minutes! Raúl's narration of the pieces kept me captivated throughout the whole tour - at no point did I ever feel it was too much information, too fast, too slow etc. It was just a great experience from start to finish. I would also like to add that communication prior to the tour was very smooth and Raúl was very helpful in answering my questions. All things considered, I would gladly take another tour with him in a heartbeat - if you ask me, he might be one of the best guides that CDMX has to offer right now.

If I could have given a 10, I would have! - Raúl was an excellent guide. He was very detailed and you can see his passion for the cultures that we learned about. He was also so kind to my mother who was not able to stand for long periods so we took some seated breaks and he would still explain the culture we were learning about. He also is independent so he isn’t connected to a large company which o appreciated. Please check him out!

Great tour of the museum... - Great tour of the museum with very knowledgable guide. A must before your visit to any pyramids in Mexico. The tour made us even more excited to go to Totihuacan and Monte Alban.

A captivating introduction to Mexico's rich history - I can't imagine a better way to experience this amazing museum! Raúl captivated us as he skillfully wove together the history, culture, and art of the three key eras of Mesoamerica. Yes, he's a trained, very knowledgeable anthropologist and historian--but most of all, he's a wonderful storyteller. He brings the artifacts in the museum to life. You will leave with a deep appreciation for each of the civilizations he covers and the connections between them that still inform today's Mexico. Don't miss this great introduction to Mexico's rich history!

Totally unprofessional - Raul canceled on us at the very last minute. He left us high and dry with no alternative but to do the museum on our own. I’ve never experienced anything so unprofessional.

Last Minute Cancelation - Less than 1 hour until the tour was supposed to start and it was cancelled. It was too late by then to book with a different company. Highly unprofessional given that we book well in advance.
