Both the street taco walking tour and the Ahuehuete agave tasting were amazing. I was 100% satisfied with our tour- tacos, quesadilla, churro all excellent. The beef brisket fried intestines taco was maybe the best thing I ate all night - loved it. Ahuehuete tasting I was a little worried about. I am not yr avg traveler when it comes to spirit/wine tasting. I worked as a Sommelier for 20 years and also own a craft cocktail bar with some very good agaves. My fears were entirely unjustified Jason and Natalie are passionate and super happy to geek out over their wonderful collection. It was hands down my favorite thing we did in Mexico City. We went to Pujol, Handahake Speakeasy, Masala y Maiz- all were awesome. But the best time I had the whole trip was Ahuehuete - what they are doing is special. They will pour things you had no idea existed. Their passion for these spirits takes you into remote mountain villages entirely inaccessible by any measure and they find great agaves made by true artisans generations in the making. Should be booked out weeks in advance - get in while you can. And thanks to Jason & Natalie for sharing their love and stories.
