Much More Than We Expected - The Mexican Muralism Tour was much more than we expected. Ulysses was an amazing guide whose knowledge was only surpassed by his passion for the murals. He not only took us to see murals that we never would have found on our own, but he also was able to provide an incredible knowledge of the background and purpose of each mural. There were only 5 people in our group and Ulysses made sure that we all had an opportunity to view the murals and to ask questions. For us, this tour also served as an introduction to the historical area of Mexico City. This is a great tour and is not to be missed.

Murals as a key to Mexican History - Our guide led us through several major locations where murals of Mexican history are displayed. She gave us her passion and breadth of knowledge about the historic drives to commission the murals by renowned artists and how each delivered their often conflicting versions. We learned about the symbolism that was foundational to understanding the murals and opened a version of Mexican history that was totally unknown to us. We loved this tour!

Fantastic way to learn recent Mexican history through murals - This was an amazing experience! The tour is built as two hours on the website, but lasted about four. That is because Erin, our guide, has a degree in anthropology, and is passionate about Mexican history and specifically, murals. She studied them extensively for years. She went into enormous detail about the symbolism of every Merrill we saw first in a university, and then at the Palacio Bellas Artes, with a brief stop in between in a market. If you want to learn about Mexican history over the last, hundred years or more through the art of murals, this is definitely the tour for you. It might be a little bit too much detail for people not interested in that history, but I loved it! It began at 10:30 and since we didn’t finish up until around 2:40, there is no chance to have lunch, which would be my only suggestion to them - to have a different starting time if it is going to go that long. Otherwise, I would suggest having a big breakfast, or bring some snacks along with you. But really, this was a top-notch tour led by a passionate, articulate guide, who really knows her Mexican history.

Outstanding tour! Bring water and snacks - Erin is a fantastic guide, one of the most knowledgeable I have ever had, and her love of murals comes through during every part of this tour. This is one of those tours where, yeah, you could go see the murals on your own, but you would miss all of the nuance and context surrounding them. You should definitely go. I do have a couple of suggestions, however. The first is that the tour went on far longer (which was great!) than listed, and so that should be updated. The second is that there wasn't a break for water/snacks built in. A couple of hours wandering through museums didn't sound like something I needed to bring water and snacks for. This tour lasted well over four hours, going through lunchtime. I was so thirsty and so hungry by the end! It would be a good idea to build in a little snack/drink break into the tour. Having said that, I loved this tour and highly recommend it. Just maybe bring water and snacks and expect it to last longer.

Murals of Mexico City with Warryor - Warryor took us to murals in places we would never find on our own. He is knowledgeable about history, culture and art…. He is fluent in English and has an engaging personality and sense of humor. I will recommend this tour to all of my friends and suggest they go with Warryor if possible.

Deep Dive on Mexican Mural History - I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in a 3.5 hour deep dive into Mexican mural history. Guide was very knowledgeable and passionate on the subject. Unfortunately Diego Rivera murals were not included in the tour. This is an active tour (99% standing), with no official water/toilet breaks so be prepared. The tour felt long, and some people left early.

Murals in real life - Excellent tour. Leave a little extra time. The tour guide was knowledgable and willing to engage and answer questions. I had to leave to the airport before the big finale of the tour, but it was nevertheless well worth it. The beginning of the tour in a local market was one of the opportunities to get inside the culture and see something beyond the usual art or history books.
