Discover the Mexican History through its walls

In this experience, you will have the chance to visit some of the most representatives public buildings in Mexico City that holds the most outstanding murals from Mexico. We will walk through the halls of The National Palace, San Ildefonso College, Secretary of Public Education and more… We will testify in an unique way some of the masterpieces of Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros.

During this experience you will be able to see each one of the murals portraying different historical landscapes of Mexico. In addition, you will be able to enjoy the unique architecture of every place. All paths are full of singularity because of the hidden ins and outs this places have for you.

Depending on availability, we will visit 3 important locations per tour.

Departure point is the main door outside of the Metropolitan Church in the Zocalo. Look for the pink t-shirts and umbrellas for Estacion Mexico.

Warrior rocks ! - I met Warrior at the spot agreed to meet. Some of the others failed to meet up so I had him all to myself . We walked around some the old markets and he showed me some amazing art. But he also told me the history , the stories and who painted them. He really filled my head with a new found knowledge of mexico city. Income away buzzing . He really is a fantastic guy and guide .

Superb Mexican murals tour - The Mexican murals tour we took with our guide Erendira was superb. She is informed, passionate and entertaining. We thought it would be a quick survey, but she was so amazing , we kept going for 3-4 hours (even though she offered to make it shorter, but we were having such a great time, we kept saying “no, please let’s keep going !” We now truly understand the historical context, the personalities of the artists and why murals exist in places like public markets. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Wonderful Art and History Tour - Warryor took us to see many interesting and beautiful murals in different buildings. Warryor is extremely knowledgeable of the history of the murals. He was interesting and friendly. I appreciated that after he explained what we were looking at, he always paused to ask if we had any questions. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who loves art and history.

Great Tour for Mexican Art and History - You can't go to Mexico City without fully appreciating the murals. Our guide Warrior was very knowledgeable and took us to murals that we wouldn't have found on our own that showed a lot of Mexican history. He was also bery friendly. This tour is a must for anyone interested in art and history. I am a history student and can confirm that this tour has all the history you need to know about the Mexican muralist movement. This tour will give you a better appreciation of the murals.

Much More Than We Expected - The Mexican Muralism Tour was much more than we expected. Ulysses was an amazing guide whose knowledge was only surpassed by his passion for the murals. He not only took us to see murals that we never would have found on our own, but he also was able to provide an incredible knowledge of the background and purpose of each mural. There were only 5 people in our group and Ulysses made sure that we all had an opportunity to view the murals and to ask questions. For us, this tour also served as an introduction to the historical area of Mexico City. This is a great tour and is not to be missed.

Murals as a key to Mexican History - Our guide led us through several major locations where murals of Mexican history are displayed. She gave us her passion and breadth of knowledge about the historic drives to commission the murals by renowned artists and how each delivered their often conflicting versions. We learned about the symbolism that was foundational to understanding the murals and opened a version of Mexican history that was totally unknown to us. We loved this tour!

Deep Dive on Mexican Mural History - I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in a 3.5 hour deep dive into Mexican mural history. Guide was very knowledgeable and passionate on the subject. Unfortunately Diego Rivera murals were not included in the tour. This is an active tour (99% standing), with no official water/toilet breaks so be prepared. The tour felt long, and some people left early.
