Highlights
  • Parque mexico - I will accompany you through this charming, lush and tropical park where locals and tourists alike meet to relax and socialize.

Expect a lot of extremely well behaved dogs and salsa/yoga classes all around

  • Churrería El Moro - Here we will stop for the best churros of your life and to set you up with some energy for the tour ahead.
  • Ámsterdam - Avenida Amsterdam circles around Parque Mexico and used to be an old horse race track at the beginning of the 20th Century.
  • Mercado de Medellin - I will walk you through one side of the market to the other pointing out where everything is and then give you 10 minutes to freely wander around and take in all the beautiful sights and smells.
  • Plaza Luis Cabrera - One of the many gorgeous plazas that we will pass through.
  • Avenida Álvaro Obregón - This main avenue in Roma Norte features a lot of the areas best restaurants and night life.
  • El Parián - Once a food market this stunning building has been converted into a boutique shopping arcade and is a sight to behold.
  • Colima - In my opinion, the most attractive street in the whole city.
  • Plaza Rio de Janeiro - A beautiful plaza in the heart of Roma Norte with a replica of Michelangelo’s “David” in the heart of it.
  • Panadería Rosetta - The most popular spot in the city for pastries and sweet treats.
  • Café Nin - My favorite breakfast spot in the city.
  • Ricos Tacos Toluca - Eat like the locals do! And this is simply the best spot in the whole area for the famous Al Pastor tacos. Trust me, your taste buds will be thanking you!
  • Paseo de la Reforma - The principal avenue in Mexico City running in a straight line from Castillo de Chapultepec all the way to the historical center.

I will tell you some of the fascinating history of this important road and then we will make our way along it to the Angel of Independence.

  • El Angel de la Independencia - Built to commemorate Mexico’s independence from Spain, this striking monument serves as the city’s most famous landmark.

Great tour with great recommendations - Jack was a friendly and helpful tour guide with great recommendations and knowledge of the city. We loved his restaurant/food recommendations, and the taco place he took us to was the best tacos we had the whole trip! He was friendly, approachable, and knew a lot about the neighborhoods. It's a nice way to get to know the more hipster areas of CDMX and learn some history too!

Great tour! - I'm staying in Condesa and this was a wonderful introduction to the neighborhood. We ended with some of the best tacos I've had during my time in CDMX. Highly recommended!

Best way to experience the area! - We were hosted by Lalo and the experience was fantastic. The tour has been well thought out and allows you to try local food including the tacos but also some things that you wouldnt usually try as a tourist - specific fruits from the market, tortilla from the manufacturer and small treats at the meat market. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore the area or staying in the area. We did this tour on our first day and it allowed us to get comfortable with where everything was, local customs and points of significance. Thanks again - we will be recommending more folks your way.
