Highlights
  • Mexico City - This full day Mexico City tour will give you an incredibly in depth local experience, from the bustle of the city to the peace of the suburbs and the serenity of Teotihuacan on the outskirts of the city.
We will meet at the Fine Arts Museum where we will take a public electric bus to the North Bus Station. The ride will take around 20 min. There we will need to wait for a bus (around 20 min) that will take us to the Pyramids. After 90 minutes of the countryside ride we’ll begin by experiencing the Teotihuacan Pyramids.
  • Teotihuacan Pyramids - We’ll begin the day by experiencing the Teotihuacan Pyramids, “where the men become gods”. Walking through the Teotihuacan Pyramids is like taking a step back in time.
  • Pyramid of the Moon - We’ll begin our visit at the impressive Moon Pyramid, with a guided Teotihuacan tour to learn about the history, meaning, and architecture of one of the most representative icons of Latin America.
  • Pyramid of the Sun - Walking through the Teotihuacan Pyramids is like taking a step back in time. We’ll begin our visit at the impressive Moon Pyramid, with a guided Teotihuacan tour to learn about the history, meaning, and architecture of one of the most representative icons of Latin America. Our exploration continues with a walk through the Calzada de los Muertos (Dead Pass) to reach the Sun Pyramid, which is the tallest and most spectacular in the area.
  • Quetzalcoatl - Cross the Pyramid of the Moon stands La Ciudadela (the Citadel), a large ceremonial courtyard that contains the Temple of Quetzalcoatl.. We will have the chance to climb up to the top - without the morning crowds, we’ll have the whole temple to ourselves! Once on top you will feel the amazing energy that flows through the pyramids, and you will feel fully recharged and peaceful!
  • San Juan Teotihuacán - You will have some time to relax and enjoy the pyramids before we continue our walking tour through the streets of a local town and make two stops that will give you a deeper understanding of the local way of life outside the big cities. Teotihuacan and more! - This was an excellent tour that was much more than a visit to the site of Teotihuacan. Since I was the only person booked for this day day, it was essentially a private tour. My guide, Adriana, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable and I felt very confident traveling with her. In addition to seeing the ancient site, I enjoyed learning about obsidian carving from a local artist. I also learned about the many uses of the agave plant and sampled agave-based beverages. Last but not least, I had an opportunity to dine at the home of a local family. Adriana was a great guide and companion for this very memorable experience.

great day trip - Ulysses was an excellent guide, calm cool collected and in touch with & knowledgable of the local area because he’s a local, he also speaks excellent English. The tour is well-paced and informative. He offers information of the archeology without any bias - which is important regarding this land. He also offers a non-religious, but spiritual perspective too. There’s a cool little pit stop for local beers before visiting an obsidian craftsman’s home. Although this states “dinner with the locals” we never saw them, & they weren’t introduced to us, but nonetheless at that point in the night everyone in the group is hungry & it was nice to eat a local, quaint meal. We enjoyed the sites, lots of information as well as being able to explore a little further into the local area than you would be able to on your own. I was personally having a rough morning as a solo traveler & this tour brightened my day & was just what I needed to get out of the hustle & bustle of the city.

Not really worth the money! - The guide, Jacinto, was very friendly and knowledgeable and responded to us as individuals (there were only two of us on this tour). The excursion, however, finished two hours early: the 'dining experience' was in reality a bowl of Pozele served to us in a kitchen with just ourselves and Jacinto. Not very satisfactory at all and certainly not living up to the description (or other food based 'Urban Adventures' I have done in other parts of the world). Teotihuacun, however, was truly impressive and having Jacinto with us made for an 'easier' trip than navigating our own way on public transport. Visit could perhaps have included some time at the Museo at the pyramid site (but, I am sure, had this been mentioned, Jacinto would have incorporated it into the programme). The "local dinner" was the real con!

Poor customer service - This company cancelled our original date, never rescheduled, never contacted us, and didn't answer the phone when we called. In addition, they didn't tell us about the government shutdown that happened the days before. I expect a full refund.
