Best guide in Mexico - The most beautiful place but very challenging hike! I was not having a good day and my body was not responding well to the whole altitude. Maria my guide was excellent and very knowledgeable with 9 years of experience. That made the difference for me during the trek. In two occasions I didn’t feel comfortable with the route and Maria took me to another place I could go and not be in any danger. I strongly recommend Ecotura for any hike or trek of the volcanos in Mexico. The bus and driver were aleo excellent.

A nice hike around two lakes in the crater of Nevado de Toluca - There are two hikes on the Nevado de Toluca, one is the hike around the two lakes and the other one is to the summit. The trip sold on Viator is the hike around the lakes which is offered every Sunday. The hike started at the trailhead at 4173m with an elevation gain of 327m and distance of about 7Km that took around 5 hours. The pace was slow enough that most people with a reasonable physical condition should be able to follow. The company provided hiking poles, drinking water and a light lunch pack. Our hiking group was lead by two ladies, Paola and Alexandria. Both were very professional, helpful and friendly. Paola also spoke very good English, therefore communication was not a problem.. After we reached the highest point on our trek, we descended down to the big lake on a snow covered slope. This may look scary at first, but it was much safer then it looked and lots of fun from doing so.

Highly recommended - It was an excellent trip. We went to the hiking activity in Iztaccíhuatl and we had spectacular views of the volcanoes. Very good service. The guides are very attentive and know their business, they are very well trained. Especially Ebe. Clean and comfortable transportation. A great experience to live with nature

Stunning views and top services - excellent experience, first-class guides, impressive views and the barbecue food in Toluca with hand-made tortillas, excellent to close the adventure

Can't recommend these guys enough - I've done all their mountain climbing tours and a few of their hiking ones. They're absolutely the best. I've tried other companies but keep returning to them because the rest pale in comparison. Ecotura's guides are well prepared, very professional and always put your safety first. Plus, their love for the mountains is contagious! I've learned so much from them and I'm really grateful for all the fun we've shared together! My only complain is that I wish they had a wider range of adventures to choose from!

I loved traveling to the Nevado with Ecotura - The entire Ecotura team was splendid, you can really feel the organization! I really liked the punctuality, the cleanliness of the transportation, the professionalism of the guides and the good vibes, the delicious food and the driver's playlist! The Nevado de Toluca is spectacular but with this agency the experience undoubtedly improved, thank you very much!!

Awesome Experience - Had an amazing hike with Ecotura at Nevado de Toluca. Both of the guides were extremely knowledgable and friendly. Leon would also repeat everything in English for the few of us that weren't native Spanish speakers. I especially liked the pace of the trip. The altitude was difficult for me, but we were able to move slowly and enjoy every part of the hike. There were also frequent stops to allow the group to take photos, rest, or eat a snack.

Great guides, misleading business. - I paid and booked for the experience for Saturday. After confirmation, I received a message from the operator saying unfortunately Saturday was fully booked, but they kindly offered to reschedule us for Sunday. We re-arranged our plans and confirmed with them that we could make Sunday work. Upon arrival to the national park, the friendly guide told us that we would not be hiking to any summits today, instead the itinerary was a leisurely stroll around the lagoons. He said that the summit trip is a different booking, that they in fact did on the previous day, Saturday (that I initially booked). This was very disappointing for us, and not what we would have booked. I felt that the admin who offered to reschedule us should have informed us that it was not the same trip booked for Sunday. When I reached the admin after the experience to offer them the opportunity to acknowledge and be accountable for their error, they refused to do so and blamed Viator for not being specific enough in the trip details. I hate to leave a one star review, as the guides were wonderful, the pick-up and travel was smooth and on-time, however I feel that future customers should be weary of these details and confirm/clarify with the operator if you have any doubts. (unless slowly strolling around the lagoons with hundreds of other people sounds good to you).
