Fun casual food tour - Fun casual food tour. Great selection of restaurants and plenty of foods to try. Our guide Stephanie was engaging and fun. She had a great knowledge of the local history with some interesting facts on a lot of the architectural buildings that we walked by as we walked from restaurant to restaurant.

A great way to spend the afternoon and learn about the area - What a great tour! Joseph took us to 6 different restaurants, and each one was chosen because it was a representation of foods in Mexico City. We really enjoyed the tacos at Tres Galeones, the family restaurant at Cafe de Rais, and the creative vegan tacos at LaPitahaya Vegana. We were so impressed with the food at Broke Bistrot. What a beautiful setting, too. The research into the authentic cuisine presented by Mux was appreciated. We finished the walk with a stop at Cafe Barajas. Joseph was so knowledgeable about all the restaurants and the foods. Thanks!!

Best food tour in Mexico City - Stephanie and Camila were absolutely amazing. My husband and I really enjoyed all of the places we went. Both Stephanie and Camila were so knowledgeable about the history of Mexico and all of the hidden gems. Highly reccomend. Do not pass this up! You will not regret! They also gave us tips on where to go for the rest of the trip. Truly the best food tour! All the food and drinks were delicious. They took very good care of us and explained everything we were eating and how it related to their culture. They made us want to come back to visit. Such a coincidence that I booked this tour a couple weeks ago and when I asked my air b n b host for any food tour recommendations, he highly recommended this one as well. It truly was amazing and so glad I stumbled across this tour.

Fantastic Guide - Excellent tour though it was our guide, Alma, that really made it so. Alma is more than just a tour guide, she is deeply immersed in the local food culture and can speak to much of the history and current trends food wise in Roma and the Mexico City in general (in perfect English too by the way). There was no question she couldn't answer. At the end she shared with me her google map of all her favorite eating and drinking spots in Mexico City. All of the stops were very interesting and we probably would never have found or appreciated them on our own. That said, and with apologies to Alma or any other guides, even after completing this tour my impression is that Mexican cuisine is generally not as interesting or varied as cuisines from other parts of the world (France, Italy, Asia, etc...). Seems it doesn't often stray from the basic components of corn tortillas, beans and mole sauces. Regardless, if you want to be sure you've gotten a thorough understanding and appreciation of the food in Mexico City this tour will more than provide it.
