Anthropology Museum with guide is essential. - The Anthropology Museum is wonderful. Having Alexia as our guide made it so interesting she was very knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the contrast of the Castle and it's history. It was a busy day and worth wearing comfortable shoes.

Engaging, Insightful Tour That Kept the Whole Family Engaged - Jonathan was fantastic and easily one of the best guides we’ve had. He struck the perfect balance of being deeply knowledgeable and genuinely fun, which made a huge difference touring with teens. Everyone stayed engaged and came away having learned a lot. He did a great job tailoring the experience to our interests and pacing the day so it never felt overwhelming. We especially appreciated how he navigated both the Anthropology Museum and Chapultepec Castle in a way that kept things moving smoothly. He brought history and context to life with stories and humor, and was great at reading the entire group and adjusting in real time. Highly recommend this experience.

Anthropology museum and castle review with Oscar - Oscar was a lovely tour guide and super knowledgeable. If you’re considering the anthropology museum and don’t speak Spanish, you must get a tour guide. Oscar added so much history and nuance and color to the pieces and set and murals we saw that could not have been gleaned otherwise. The castle is nice too if you’re interested in more recent history 1800s-present and European influence. One of my favorite murals of the day was at the castle. It is a trek though.

Do them individually - An amazing trip, but in retrospect we wished we had broken the two attractions apart….5 hours was a lot of time to explore two equally important and interesting tours. The Anthropology Museum was great, and we were glad to have gotten the basic background the day before in the Historic City tour. The Castle was equally fascinating.

A suffocating visit. - Oppressive exit! We visited on a Friday but there were too many people. In the castle we did not stop to look calmly at exhibitions. We finished the walk and then we left. The castle was lovely. There was no organization. It was stressful! Don't visit the holidays.

A disappointing experience - I always book a guided tour for major museum such as the phenomenal Anthropology Museum. We needed a guide as most explanations in the Museum were written Spanish. We were finding the explanations hard to follow. It would have bern easier to follow if we were given the dates to form a mental historical timeline and a geographical picture of the respective Aztec and Mayan territories. We tried to ask questions however the answers were not quite helpful. Nor they seem welcomed. Luckily the ticket allowed us to go into the Museum again. We were surprised that the tour did not include the huge tomb of a high ranking priest. There was a small incident which could have been avoided if the guide had the clients' emails / whatsapp ( the Teotihuacan guide we had today made sure each one of us all scanned his whatsapp QR code and that sent him 'Hi'.) I had misunderstanding of meeting him inside the museum as our guide kindly looked after my daypack. I missed meeting him as I got quite lost amongst the moving crowds in the huge museum and went straight to meet the group of 6 at the flagpole at noon as previously arranged. We waited 28 mins and a group member found him inside. He was waiting for me the whole time. I realised there was misunderstanding and the group was ok with it. Our guide said he told me to tell the group to wait inside where he waited for me. I do jot recall him saying that. If he did, I would not have agreed to tell everyone the change of meeting point ( not my place anyway). He was annoyed and said to me 'I help you. you help me', appearing flustered. As said, the group waited for 28 mins and was okay with it, once they knew it was a misunderstanding. We were however shocked by the guide's response. Would I recommend this tour based on my experience - my answer is no.
