- Zocalo - The meeting point will be in front of the cathedral, walking towards the busiest avenues in the city to get to the Merced market. Approx. 15 minutes walking.
- Mercado Sonora - At this point we can see some shops where you can get curious objects and you would need to used for witchcraft.
- La Merced Market - In this great market we will be able to enjoy a great gastronomy and we will be able to see the great variety that the market can offer as well as buy and enjoy the typical dishes like: pozole, pancita, tacos, season fruit and prehispánic ingredients.
- Zocalo - We will finish the tour at a bakery tasting sweet bread concha and mantecada and other food to know the variety of the culture

Engaging, Well-Informed, Accommodating - My partner, my parents and I had a fantastic time on this tour! Gabriel was an engaging, well-informed, and accommodating guide who made our experience so much better than it would have been without him. We had great food, heard interesting facts and stories, and traveled into parts of the market we didn’t know existed, let alone knew how to find. He was also helpful in accommodating my partner’s dietary restriction and my father’s physician limitations.

Excellent tour of Merced and Sonora markets from an expert - This was an excellent tour of the Mercado La Merced and Mercado Sonora. I have been on market tours in Mexico City before but what made this one special is that instead a set itinerary, Gabriel listens to your interests ans takes you to see the things you want to see. I was the only one on the tour and it felt like a personalised experience. Gabriel grew up around the Merced market and his depth of knowledge shows. When I asked him if it was safe to visit Merced and Sonora markets by myself, he told me exactly which streets to use to enter the markets and which streets to avoid.

Great market tour! - We had a great time walking around the market and eating with Gabriel. We learned a lot about the different foods and about life in Mexico City. Gabriel was an excellent guide and very nice. Would definitely recommend!

Los tacos en La Merced son sabrosos! - I’ve spent a lot of my time traveling around México and I have to say that this Mercado is one the biggest Mercados I have ever been to. The tour guide has plenty of experience in the Mercado. His family has over 30 years of working and serving en La Merced. Gabriel was very attentive and open to answering any questions or concerns. I highly recommend coming to experience something new and spending time with the locals.

Soo much fun tour - Really different from the tourist places the market it's really popular for the local people the tour was really fun we love all the food that we taste Gabriel show us big part of the market and answer are questions fully recommend.

Incredible and Really big market - Wonderful it was a really exciting experience Gabriel was really good he knows the market really good these is something you gotta do if your visiting mexico city my wife and I liked a lot it's a really different experience from the tourist places

Sensory Overload in best possible way!! - Gabriel was the best tour guide ever! He guided us through the maze of Mercado de la Merced and Sonora. He took us the places he knew and liked. Everything tasted amazing. The markets were crowded but clean and beautiful. It was sensory overload of the best kind. Thank you Gabriel for the truly exceptional tour.
