Beautiful museum! - The line for this fantastic museum was long so it was nice to be able to skip it! We really enjoyed our visit to the Anthropology Museum, especially the way the exhibit galleries were complemented by the exterior gardens and the amazing fountain in the interior courtyard.

Great Pre-Hispanic gems and outstanding lunch - This was my 4th visit to this outstanding museum. I enjoyed the Toltec exhibition, various pieces of obsidian vessels carved out of one piece of stone, and the grounds of the museum in general. The Salas Gastronómicas restaurant was outstanding in its regional approach which isn’t often done in Mexican restaurants.

A must see museum - Better to go during weekdays since it is more crowded on weekends. The museum is very impressive but almost all written material is in Spanish so if you don't read Spanish, it's difficult to understand which period it is, which artifacts you are looking at, etc.

Best Museum of its kind - This is a magnificent museum. You could spends days here exploring Mexico's ancient past. Mayans, Aztecs, Olmecs....It's fantastic. Be prepared to spend a few hours here before your Azteced out. The skip the line is in the inside; not the outside security line.

Let Me Explain This - I bought skip the line tickets despite mixed reviews because I couldn’t really figure out whether they were any good. General admission tickets to the museum are 90 pesos, or about $5 at today’s exchange rate. These tickets are $9. It seemed like a reasonable hedge in case it would save waiting in a line for an hour or more. We (two people) went today. The line was not really long — less than ten minutes to the main door. But this is where it gets tricky. No one skips the line to the main door, which is the security line. Once you’re in the museum lobby, there’s a ticket line. You can walk directly to the next door and enter the exhibit area if you already have your ticket. Today, there were multiple ticket windows open and it didn’t look like a long wait. There was room for a long line inside and if the security line was around the block there might or might not have been many more people inside. And don’t forget — if you’re carrying a backpack or large bag, you will probably have to check it. Today there was no line at the check room, but I can see that being an issue. Note, too, that there’s nothing special about these tickets. They’re advance sales, and there are other sources for advance tickets, including a stall we passed in the market in the Bosque de Chapultepec as we walked to the museum. I don’t know whether these, too, cost more than face value. So we probably paid a premium for not much. It could have been different, but I think the security line is the big fly in the ointment. But it was a waste of $8, not $100 and I knew it might not amount to much. By the way, the museum is great. Don’t miss the Mexica (Aztec) exhibit.

Scam - Ticket was not accepted at the museum stating it was for a tour operator rather than the museum. There was no way to get the ticket following the links that came in the email.

Rip off - Don’t bother booking, not worth it. Just book directly with the museum. I had to pay twice for tickets because they wouldn’t accept the tickets ms was advised they have no affiliation with the company. I would recommend booking Guided tour though. (Not through this company)
