Always fabulous - Every time we return to Naples we go to see the veiled Christ because it is unique in the world. Besides the beauty, the entire chapel of San Severo is worth it. Excellent organization.

Veiled Christ, wonderful sculpture in the center of Naples. Absolutely not to be missed. - The Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sanmartino is one of the most famous and evocative sculptures in the world. It is located in the heart of the Sansevero Chapel in Naples. A life-size carved marble statue, representing our dead Lord Jesus Christ, covered by a transparent shroud made from the same block as the statue. It is one of the most evocative works in the world. By carefully observing the sculpture placed in the center of the chapel's nave, you can clearly see the swollen vein that seems to throb on the forehead, the nail piercings on the feet and hands, the embroidery on the edges of the shroud. The meticulous details and the care with which the artist has embellished the wonderful work truly leave you breathless and emotional. Highly recommended!

Groups too large for the long weekend of 25/4. - A trained and very helpful guide, an excessively large group of 20 people in the middle of the crowd in the streets of the historic center. We with two children spent 2:30 hours trying to avoid losing them. price 75 euros each including children to see 3 statues and some excessive majolica. The ticket to Cristo costs 10 euros and Santa Clara 5. I would say that another 10 for the guide, given the large group, would have been appropriate. The problem is purchasing the tickets for the Veiled Christ which were already sold out 2 months before. Touting...?
