The meeting point is set at the Church of San Gregorio Armeno. From the moment of entry, the grandeur will captivate you entirely: from the ceiling to the pulpits and chapels. The journey will then proceed to Piazzetta Nilo, featuring the grand sculpture of the Nile God, followed by a visit to the Church of Gesù Vecchio. The Jesuit order utilized the magnificence of the Baroque style to deeply impact the faithful, who also became spectators. This church is the first mother church of the order. As the power and significance of the Jesuit Order in Naples grew exponentially, a new building was selected as a focal point: the next destination is the Church of Gesù Nuovo, situated in the square bearing the same name. Originally a civil structure, Palazzo Sanseverino, it was later repurposed as a sacred site. The entrance is truly breathtaking! The final stop is the cloister of Santa Chiara, where one can find the city’s most exquisite maiolicas amidst an almost mystical tranquility.
