A MUST DO - Marco, our tour guide to the winery, was so informative! Simone was a WONDERFUL tour guide at the winery! We got to taste as well as smell balsamic and cannot go back to store bought. We got to try truffle olive oil and homemade lasagna. The meal was wonderful and we tried 4 types of wine. I don't like wine and I found a white I really enjoy.

Better than expected - This was an amazing experience. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco followed by a nice tour of the wine making process. They immediately took us into the Vinyard where our table was, and we started dinner. Started with some antipasti, followed by a typical Tuscan dish and some meat. We were tasting wine throughout the entire night. They paired the wine perfectly with the food and showed us how to pick wine that goes with particular foods. Our guide's love for her industry was on full display. You can tell she absolutely loves what she does. I would do this again in a heartbeat!

Dinner in the Vineyard - The tour began with us meeting our tour guide at a local train station which was located outside of the city center. This was concerning as we knew we were going to be arriving home late and everything would be shut down but fortunately the young lady and the bus driver said they would take us into the city at the conclusion of the tour. We then boarded a comfortable bus and we were off! We were driven into the hills surrounding Florence to the Poggio Ai Laghi vineyard. When we arrived we were greeted by a member of the family who shared with us the history of their wine while he poured generous portions of their local products which they paired nicely with bread, cheese, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. After the presentation we were led to a long table in the vineyard where we were served generous portions of wine a wonderful home cooked meal. The only thing missing was music. Thanks again for a wonderful night!

Was okay - Service was excellent, wine was incredible. Food was not great. The table needed to be up higher on solid ground. Better vineyards in area.

Lackluster - The coach transport was comfortable. The commentary during the transport was challenging to understand and not particularly engaging. The arrival at the vineyard was lackluster and awkward. We got off the coach and walked to a fenced in area where we were served a glass of white wine and directed to sit in a variety of chairs around a budget hotel-esq pool. It was hot and shade was minimal. No one really knew what we were supposed to be doing. During this awkward time, our group was discussing whether there was a way to get back to town rather than stay for the being. On the upside, they kept the white wine coming. Eventually we walked to the cellar, which was also lackluster. From there we went to picnic tables set up between rows of grape vines. Again, it was very hot and there was no shade. We were offered two different wines during the dinner. Both were fine, and we were given enough for our end of the table. Dinner was fine. Charcuterie to start then a meat course that included grilled sausages, chicken, and porch chops. We were offered the traditional biscuits and after dinner cordial to dip the biscuits in. The location was not particularly picturesque. There were two portable toilets for guest use, which was less than ideal. Overall, we were disappointed. The best part was conversation at dinner with table mates.

Very disappointed - I was very disappointed that it was not held outside! Said it had rained and it hadn’t and not did it. Our host was nice but it was all very rushed and at the end of the evening we were rushed out! It included no outdoor even photo opportunity!

BAD TOUR - Aweful. The tour bus took us to a castle and we were late. Arriving after sunset, raining so dinner was inside and crowded with about 45 people. The court and cellar were too dark to see anything. The food was just ok, wine was sparse. DO MOT DO GHIS TOUR!
