Additional Information

The tour will focus on the greatest and darkest moments during the long history of Intramuros, with details of what transpired within the walls of Intramuros during the Battle of Manila and beyond…

We can enjoy learning something about this historical place within a 700-year era. And this will be great to understand what Manila has become today and where the Philippines has come from. And your chance to walk around the allies inside Intramuros.

And we will then end this tour where we can sit, drink, laugh, and chill around Casa Manila. Must try a famous Filipino Halo halo dessert recommendation from a long walked ( Guest provided )

Don't forget to wear comfortable attire (inside the church wear something modest and comfortable)

P.S. The Lamborghini bike is a short experience. In English, it's a paddle bike with three wheels that you would like to try. Don't worry; you won't need to paddle because someone can do it for you.

Don't miss out, and see you soon!

Enlightening Walking Tour! - Mari was such a detailed tour guide, we really enjoyed learning the rich history of Manila! She went through the Spanish, American colonisations and Independence of Manila, as well as parts of the WW2 history. Even though it was a walking tour, it did not feel tiring and it felt like we had ample time at each destination. I had a lot of fun on the ride in their local transport as well ☺️ I highly recommend Mari as she’s a very considerate and informative guide, we really appreciated her providing bottled water for us to beat the very hot day!

Walk back in time - My wife and I enjoy history and culture and have done a lot of Spanish colonial and mission tours in California. So I was proud to share with my wife the Filipinos side on how my forefathers suffered from Spain and Japan takeover. Mari and I played a little quiz and we both find our facts solid. Mari is very passionate about history and the Filipinos and she's also fun, personable, very bubbly and takes great photos! I am glad we did this tour with her, because there's so many tours going around and she's definitely better than some tour guides who doesn't pay attention and just spit out facts. We started with history orientation, followed by across street walk to San Agustin and Casa Manila. Then we took a pedal side car bike called Lamborghini ride to Intramuros! Then we walk across Manila Cathedral. The Philippines curator did a great job keeping artifacts preserved for future generations. It's a 3 hr tour, not an exhausting walk because Mari will pace with you plus you're sight seeing, you're not rushed, and the furthest length on campus was taken on a passenger ride. All entrances are taken care of Mari and everyone knows her. She gets front of the line. I highly recommend this tour, this is an immersion, you'll feel the energy inside of Intramuros and be moved. You'll imagine the rich parties at Casa Manila, the sufferings of WW II and holiness of the oldest church in Manila. You don't have to be a history buff to appreciate humanity from it's simple roots shaken by modernism. If your Filipino, you should do this tour with Mari.

Highly recommended tour of Intramuros! - This is a private walking tour of Intramuros. It was really interesting to see, in particular, the Cathedral, the Fort and Casa Manila. The tour guide, Mari, was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable and gave a good historical summary on Intramuros and this part of Manila's early history. She was also very cheerful and made the tour highly enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone who wishes to see Intramuros.

Amazing Intramuros tour with amazing Marie - Mari was an excellent guide in terms of her knowledge and excitement to share about beautiful history of Manila and especially Intramuros region. She was so full of energy which translated into mine. She made sure she kept me intrigued by including some very interesting gestures and questions in her tour. I did not realise how my time passed. She was well greeted at places we went showing she was a friendly person. She knew enough to let me learn and take back something with me when my tour finished. I also guide so I know the difference, she never bombarded me with the facts and kept the pace totally relaxed and understandable . I highly recommend her tour.

Awesome Intramuros tour - Mari was outstanding! She was so knowledgeable about the history and really made it come alive while touring Intramuros. There were some powerful moments as we explored Fort Santiago and its dark history. We also encountered several gorgeous weddings that day while visiting the incredible cathedrals steeped in tradition. She was fun to explore the area with and we felt like we made a new friend in the process. Highly recommend and don’t miss this opportunity to see how wonderful Intramuros is from her!

Wonderful experience seeing Intramuros with an knowledgeable guide! - Mari was an amazing tour guide! We did this tour immediately after exploring Chinatown with her and her knowledge of Manila history is impressive. She is clearly passionate about her city and culture and it makes for an excellent experience. She was great at pointing out all the great photo opportunities and explaining the importance of the different streets, landmarks, and buildings. On top of all of this, she was so personable and easy to talk to and spend time with. Would definitely recommend her tours to friends and family!

1000% Amazing.... again... again... - Another AMAZING!! tour provided by Mari... if you read my first 2 posts... then this is the third in a row... so basically ... you continue your day with Mari and go to the Intramuros walking tour... now... talking about being knowledgeable ... Mari is a complete encyclopedia... knew dates, past and current events, names, situations, you name it... she knew all the answers... at this time... you're not taking a tour anymore... you are more like visiting a beautiful friend in Manila... and Mari is showing you places... another high recommendation... I booked those 3 tours back-to-back without knowing... but it became the best experience I had.
