Kick off your 2-hour exploration on foot from Cathedral Square, beneath the magnificent bell tower constructed between 1930 and 1933. Additional notable landmarks to appreciate include the Catalani Church, representing the Arab-Norman style, the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, Southern Italy’s second largest, and the Baroque-style Mount of Mercy. Amid all these sights, make sure not to miss the Sanctuary of Montalto, the Shrine of Christ the King and the Palace Zanca.

Good tour guide for Messina - I had no idea what to expect in Messina. The town is very nice, but there is not a whole lot to see. However, Chiara from Discover Messina Sicily did a great job getting us to all of the important places. We are glad we went.

Best ever - Roberto was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had anywhere. He was kind he was well informed and educated and did an excellent job of teaching us about the history of Messina. Beyond that he personally helped me to fulfill a mission to honor my grandparents who immigrated from Sicily to the United States. Roberto and his colleagues went above and beyond, the call of duty to help me with this. We will always be grateful to you, Roberto!

Low cost and enjoyable - It was easy to find the guide at the cruise port. The walk was a good circle around town center (1/2 Mile radius) with city history and a free ice treat our canoli. Ended with the noon clock experience with commentary. If you just want to experience the city this is a simple way.

Nice walking tour - Roberto was a great guide, and took pride in Messina Sicily. Enjoyed the local sights and customs.

Excellent tour and guide - Our guide was very well informed. He spoke 10 languages and knew the history of Messina well. Took great care and showing us things we would not have known on our own.

Short history lesson of Messina - This was a terrific short version history lesson of Messina.
A interesting guide who was both friendly and knowledgeable.
The cannaloni was delicious, fresh and tasty.

Discover Messina - Excellent tour compant - Excellent tour, local guide Katarina was fantastic, lovely balance between knowledge and humour. The fresh cannoli were amazing. i really enjoyed the puppet show museum at the end.

Best Messina Walking Tour! - This was an excellent find! I didn’t want another bus tour excursion that the cruise ships book. This was a very small group (about 12) and the tour guide Sara made it feel very personal. It was so clear how much she loves her city by the way she spoke of it. Would recommend 10 out of 10!

Pleasant but underwhelming - Roberto was very welcoming and pleasant. The overall area covered on the tour is very small, and we felt the price paid was excessive for what was covered.
