The best way to see and experience the Douro and Vinho Verde wine regions - Rodrigo and Ruben provided a wonderful wonderful tour. They really care about their home region - the Douro - and do everything they can to show it off in all its colours. We saw Douro and Vinho Verde regions, sailed a river, and received a lot of wine in each. They really really care about showing their home the best it can be. Yes, their Douro tour is nearly €200, but don't be scared of the price - it is absolutely worth the money for what you get. Wonderful wonderful wonderful - would recommend to everyone. Well done Bambuti!

Bambuti 1-Day Douro Valley: Away from the crowds - We thoroughly enjoyed this thoughtful tour and we cannot recommend it enough! We were able get to know the area, and see and experience more beautiful locations and wineries through this tour than we could ever have been able to on our own. The wines and ports we tasted were wonderful, the brunch and lunch were outstanding, and the boat trip on a traditional Barco Rabelo to Pinhão was beautiful (very calm waters during the boat ride, a plus for individuals prone to motion sickness!). We appreciated that the tour included pick up and drop off at our Airbnb and that our hosts and guides were flexible in arranging for a member of our group prone to motion sickness to sit in the front of the van to avoid motion sickness. Rodrigo was an amazing driver on the winding roads. Our hosts and guides, Rodrigo and Ruben, were personable, attentive, and provided a wealth of information. Communicating to arrange our tour was easy and pleasant. This tour and experience was a highlight of our time in the Douro Valley and a very special experience.

Day of Fun and Laughter on a Bambuti Tour - We had an excellent tour with great views, delicious food, many drinks and a day filled with fun and laughter. Rúben is the perfect guide who makes you feel like you are part of his family. Rúben's brother Rodrigo was able to join us during lunchtime and for the jeep ride, which doubled the fun and laughter! We will definitely book another tour with Bambuti on our next trip to Portugal.

Horse Riding Blast! - Rodrigo was our host. Super fun and friendly! We did the horse riding and enjoyed such a great lunch that we missed our scheduled wine tour. Rodrigo kindly refunded us for the lost time, even though we went overtime at lunch while learning about their culture. The people you experience a tour with and the connections you make are truly the heart of any excursion, and Rodrigo was the best host I’ve had yet! This small business deserves much more attention—they exceeded all our expectations, and everything went perfectly.

Amazing Horseback and Wine Tasting Duoro Mountains - Amazing day including horseback riding in the mountains of the Duoro, amazing lunch at a local restaurant and finished with a wine tasting at a family owned winery. Rodrigo was an awesome tour guide; friendly, knowledgeable, and offered the best experiences for my wife and I. Everything felt catered to what interested us and I would definitely recommend booking with them!

- This was one of our favorite days out of the whole trip! We absolutely loved every aspect of the tour; from the convenient (and punctual) hotel pickup in Lamego to the tastings, the picnic on the boat ride, and the sweetest lunch from the sweetest family! We will dream about that lunch <3 This company was founded by two brothers, and we enjoyed meeting both of them and seeing their passion firsthand for the area and making sure their guests have an unforgettable experience.

Long but enriching - The tour is run by two entrepreneur brothers. You will meet one of them. As I conveyed to our guide, the first part of the tour was too long. Three hours was just too long time to “kill” at a wine tasting. The tour could be fortified (just as a port wine is) by more facts about the region, wine making process, and history. The food offering in the morning was somewhat superfluous unless you are really hungry. I would not eat breakfast ahead of time. The guides try to keep the experience within their family and friends, which actually gives it a special flavor. The hike to a lunch place cooked by their aunt can be challenging for some, but the lunch offers a great view and nice traditional food. The bathroom at the aunt’s place is astounding and it is a sightseeing spot by itself. Overall, a worthwhile tour which could be shortened in its first part but still makes up for its shortcomings at the end with a boat tour and excellent and generous second wine tasting.
