Highlights
  • Beatles Statue - We will start at the iconic statue of the Fab four - John, Paul, George and Ringo. This is at a beautiful location at Liverpool’s Pier head right on the river Mersey. Surrounded by the historical “3 Graces” buildings there is plenty to see and learn about in this area and some fantastic photo opportunities.
  • Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts - The arts school that John Lennon attended which is next door to the high school that Paul McCartney and George Harrison went to. Here we discuss the early days of the band and look back to their time as the “Quarry Men” and also playing in Hamburg Germany. A Beautiful area of the city centre surrounded by Liverpool’s two Cathedrals.
  • Penny Lane - A photograph at the oldest remaining “Penny Lane” road sign that Paul McCartney recently signed. We discuss why Paul wrote the song and what it meant to him amongst other things. Then we will drive down Penny Lane while we of course listen to the song and take in the surroundings that Paul lists in the song.
  • Strawberry Field - Johns beautiful song was about a place he used to visit and luckily that place is still there to this day. Now a modern visitors centre, souvenir shop and museum dedicated to John (which is still ran by the Salvation army). We take a walk around the beautiful gardens that John used to frequent and also visit the famous red gates - taking in the surroundings and discussing all things John.
  • St Peter’s Church Building - A unique location that has two special areas right next to each other. The place were John and Paul first met as teenagers and also the grave of “Eleanor Rigby”.
  • John Lennon’s Childhood House - As a young man John moved to live with his Aunt Mimi in a beautiful house where she raised him. Now owned and preserved by the National Trust.
  • Paul McCartney’s Childhood House - Home to the McCartney family throughout Paul’s teenage years and also the birth place of many of their early hits. Paul and John spent countless hours at this house writing and rehearsing.
  • Ringo Starr Mural - Ringo was definitely from humble beginnings and grew up in a place that he holds very close to his heart. We check out his small childhood home and also the stunning painting of him right next to it.
  • The Cavern Club - We take a look at the most famous club in the world “The Cavern” from the outside - situated on Mathew Street. The Beatles played here 292 times and it was their home and the place where they gained many of their early followers.
  • Liverpool Town Hall - One of the most historic an oldest buildings in Liverpool which has a great story and link to the Beatles home coming in 1964.

Quite moving and wish we could do it again - Jack picked us up on time and was straight into the tour. We were very impressed with his knowledge of the history of Liverpool and the Beatle Tour was second to none. Jack took us places that told interesting stories about the Beatles we had no knowledge of as well as the famous well known attractions. We found Jack to be a nice young man and highly recommend this tour. You are guaranteed a thoroughly enjoyable day.

What an amazing day! - What an amazing day. It was a cold day in January, snowy and slushy. Jack met us early and started our tour. Jack's knowledge of the Beatles was very impressive. He even has a personal connection to Beatles history and management that he will share during the tour. Jack took us to all of the great sites, big and little. Jack was willing to spend as much, or as little time as we wanted at each site. We were never rushed. Jack was patient; willing to explain things more than once if we didn't understand the meaning. At the penultimate stop, he gave us a fascinating story of Eleanor Rigby, her grave, Father McKenzie, and others mentioned in the song. The finale at "The Cavern Club" was certainly a brilliant end to a great day. If you ever thought the Hard Rock Cafe was cool, after seeing The Cavern Club, nothing else will ever compare. 5-stars to Jack and the Bespoke Beatles tour. I would recommend this to anybody!

Jack was awesome! - Jack was an awesome tour guide! We have nothing but great things to say about the tour itself! But on Viators information sheets regarding going to the sites, it says "Admission tickets Free". We were disappointed when it came to the Cavern, and it wasn't! It implied we were going into some sites but we didnt.
