- Agriturismo La Vecchia Chioderia - An old brick factory, now converted into a museum, and an old needle factory which now is a restaurant and a farm of trout and sturgeons, await for us. We will visit the farm in the company of the owner and then we will sit together to taste the typical products of this amazing farm, as friends… as an Italian family…

The Senagra Valley, an underappreciated gem nestled within the Lake Como region, is a stunning destination where the tranquil yet spirited Senagra River flows. Commencing our journey from the Menaggio center, we guide you on an exploration of this enchanting locale, a unique blend of natural wonders and intriguing historical remnants. Wander through the age-old village of Loveno, with its narrow lanes that unfurl to reveal breathtaking views of the lake and majestic historical mansions. Further in the heart of the valley, a seldom trodden path leads to an awe-inspiring suspension bridge and symbols of the valley’s past industry. Among those are a legacy brick factory turned museum and a historical needle factory, now functioning as a restaurant and a trout and sturgeon farm. We’ll tour the farm alongside the proprietor, culminating in a grand feast of the farm’s special offerings, fostering bonds much like an Italian family.

Local experience with a fun guide! - Such a fun guide, told wonderful stories of growing up in the area. Hike was so peaceful. Once we reached top of town it was pretty much flat and surrounded by trees and the river. The lunch stop was amazing, with such fresh food! Very much worth it for those that want to get away from the touristy areas of Menaggio and try something off the beaten path.

Wonderful walk - Our walk up the Senagra valley was wonderful. Our guide, Michael, was knowledgeable and friendly, and provided us with a local’s perspective. The history of the valley was fascinating, and the scenery breathtaking. We greatly enjoyed the lunch stop and learning about the trout farm. We highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely wonderful walk - We set off on our walk with our guide Michael. It was a beautiful day and the scenery was spectacular. Michael was a fantastic guide, keeping us entertained and involved with great stories of the history and development of the area. We walked up through the picturesque valley listening to stories of his family and their history in the Lake Como area and how the valley had changed over time to what it is today. Lunch at the fish farm was absolutely delicious and we were able to watch how the farm was managed with the ecological ideals of its founder. It was a truly wonderful day and I recommend it to anyone who loves to walk, learn about an area and enjoys the natural environment.

Wonderful tour with Daniele! - thoroughly enjoyed the tour by Daniele! he was so incredibly cheerful, friendly and knowledgeable. it was a relatively easy walk, with great views and no crowds at all (because we went in Nov which is the low season) - we even did the extra 30mins off road walk to see the waterfall! the tasting at the trout farm was excellent as well! 100% would recommend anyone to go for this tour with Daniele if you're visiting Lake Como, Menaggio!

Daniele is the Best!! - Such a beautiful tour/hike. Daniele was so much fun and made the whole trip perfect. He was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions asked. We really loved the tasting at the fresh trout farm that we ate at along the way. Such a peaceful walk through the hills with lots of springs and a beautiful waterfall.
