The tour is worth the money - The music man makes it fun. He provided lots of history. We got off the bus at the shell, where Elvis had his first outdoor concert.

Do it! - I would definitely recommend this tour. Our guide Sarah set up a makeshift stage in the front of the bus facing backwards where she narrated and sang songs accompanied by her guitar. The volume was a little loud maybe. The bus crowd was fun. We got a good feel for Memphis and its musical history, with its place among the iconic music cities of the world assured.
