Nice tour of historic sights - First of all, Matt with the hat is a fantastic guide. He had a great energy, he was knowledgeable, and he was entertaining. The tour itself wasn't necessarily spooky to me personally, but it was a ton of fun and informative. I learned a lot about the darker history of Memphis, and it was nice to see the sights. They encouraged interaction from the group which is something that some tours don't do, and that was very cool. Overall, I highly recommend the tour.

History and Ghosts, what not to love!! - Me and my wife went here while on a trip to Memphis and she loves all the ghosts shows so I figured this would be perfect for her! I actually ended up enjoying it a bit myself. Our tour guide was Matt with the hat and he was extremely fun and knowledgeable about all the locations to be fair our entire group was so much fun. Me and my wife both love history so this was a win, win for us. My wife ended up catching some really cool pictures but I won’t go into details of the different locations because I feel that it would ruin the experience for others. But I highly recommend it!

Spooky tales narrated by Matt with the hat! - Hearing the story surrounding Claude Pugh’s death and visiting the fountain was definitely an unforgettable experience. It’s amazing how much history lies within the city of Memphis!

Educational and Spooky - Thanks for Kelly and "Matt with the Hat" for an educational and spooky experience. Matt really makes the entire tour enjoyable. We learned a lot of Memphis history, as well as the history of the individual buildings and homes we visited. The bus was comfortable and easy to access. We recommend taking the tour on Sunday because there is little traffic at that time. This is a MUST for everyone.

Not that great - Based on previous reviews, I expected a tour guide who was knowledgeable and well spoken. However, I felt as though our tour guide was trying to remember a script. There were lots of ums, weird pausing,”you know”s, and other memory seeking vocalizations as if our guide was trying to remember what to say and when to say it. I totally understand someone not “performing” well if they’re new, but we were lead to believe our guide had been doing this for a while. It all just took away from the experience for us. Our guide did have stories to share, however, many of them seemed off from the typical spooky stories expected on a ghost tour. The few spooky tidbits shared were done so with a smile and the weird pauses that threw off any possible creepy factor. The stories shared were more historical than spooky. those stories were interesting. It was pretty cool that we were offered devices to “investigate” while on tour. FYI: when viewing the Masonic Lodge, if you were not on the left side of the bus, you could not see what floors they were talking about. If you are not agile I don’t recommend this tour. There was one house where we went up some stairs and one older woman in our tour fell on the way down. You also get on and off the bus 2-3 times at stops. The store you meet up at is very cute with neat gemstones.

Disappointing - We were expecting a 2 hour tour which actually lasted for less than 1.5 hours. The tour guide said she was left the wrong tablet, therefore couldn't give us some of the information. Later she couldn't find photos on the tablet which were relevant to the tour. I'm sorry to say that overall, it was a disappointing tour.
