Memorial Day 2024 in Memphis - Rollin' on the River - Our tour guide Renee was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, and clearly loves her job. I was thankful for the opportunity to get off the bus and walk the grounds of the Lorraine Motel and reflect on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I enjoyed the tour of the Rock "n" Soul museum and learn the history of soul music and musicians who started their careers in Memphis. I loved the riverboat tour also.

Great mix of activity, sights and cruise - This was a great way to see the city. It was a small group tour on a very comfortable touring vehicle (small bus). We drove to various sites and most of them we got to get out and walk around while being lead by the tour guide. Kate was very knowledgeable and witty. I usually fall asleep on bus tours due to inactivity and really enjoyed walking around Mud Island, the National Civil Rights Museum, lunch (it's called a snack, but it was chicken or pork slider, coleslaw, chips and a drink), the I am a Man memorial, Rock & Soul Museum (needed more time!) etc. Good mix of activity and sightseeing. The cruise on the Mississippi River was memorable mainly because I learned that the bridges light up at night and we had a river view at our hotel, but had closed our curtains each night. The last night we got to see the light show on the bridges. Bonus!

Get walk through the history of Memphis - I like getting the true history of Memphis and how the music origins played a part in desegregation of certain does and don’ts of that time.
