- 7 Boathouse Dr - Paddle along the Yarra River in double kayaks through the Centre of Melbourne City. Stopping to look at historical sites like old ships, hotels, old wharfs, dry docks and cranes etc. Historical commentary provided along the way. Changing of light from daylight to sunsets, city lights after dark at the Crown Casino. Chatting with new and old friends. Easy pace.

Additional Information
This tour is really 2 tours in one, as you start off in daylight and then you end in the dark. Therefore you see Melbourne at different light stages - Enjoy Golden Hour,
Take in views of Melbourne’s skyline while paddling past restaurants, old ships, the former port area and new port.
This is a unique experience with easy paddling and a slow pace to take in the views.
Historical commentary on the old docks area is provided along the way with talks about the former Customs House, turning basin, historical ships, former waterfall and “Mission for Seamen” head quarters.
There is a rest stop, half way through the tour, to stretch your legs and have a snack and a drink.
The tour is 2.5 hours duration.
Twilight sessions (5, 6 or 7pm, depending on light) are available.

- A maximum of 20 people per booking
- Minimum age is 12 years (12-15 year old clients years must paddle with an adult)
- Not recommended for participants with back or shoulder problems
- Operates in most weather conditions, please dress appropriately
- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

Departure: Richmond Rowing Club, Boat House Drive, Melbourne City (opposite Federation Square). In front of the rowing sheds, look for the yellow kayaks on the boat ramp.

Awesome tour! - The staff were very professional and helpful. They were very patient as well. I did kayak on other tours before, but none of them took the time to teach me how to do it properly, resulting in early exhaustion. They gave you a quick lesson, so I feel comfortable to enjoy the whole trip. Highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience if visiting Melbourne - We visited Melbourne from the UK to see family and they recommended we did the Twilight Kayak tour. We were a bit unsure as we are both in our late 60's, but decided to go for it ... and so glad we did. The paddling was very relaxed, the tour guides helpful and informative, and of course the views of Melbourne were amazing! Highly recommended, even for old folks!

Fun relaxing way to see the city from a different perspective - After a 37 degree day in Melbourne kayaking on the Yarra was a refreshing way to see the sights and cool down.

All of us(x4 from... - All of us(x4 from Melbourne) enjoyed the experience. Looking at both banks while in the river is very different to from the land. Tour was well organised. Beautiful Sunset was an extra bonus. Highly recommended!

Informative and enjoyable - Our instructor and guide, PJ, was terrific and we enjoyed learning about the early dock area and settlement of Melbourne. Stopping to see the giant Crown Casino fire balls from the water was great fun. Good safety gear is provided and even though it was tricky at first, a beginner can manage this activity. It wasn't overly physical - I wasn't puffing or tired - and the city lights as it turned to evening were a highlight. I'd recommend it as a fun family experience and a different way to see Melbourne.

Loved this! - Being a beginner at this and a very confusing start I enjoyed the experience because of the guides. Enjoyed learning about the culture. The hot choccy was yum! Would love to go again! Ps: the views are amazing, thank would recommend everyone to give this a go. It was a safe and wonderful experience.
