- Phillip Island Nature Parks - Koala Reserve - Just a 2-hour drive from Melbourne to Phillip Island, you’ll stop en route to explore a Koala Conservation Reserve with a guided ranger tour.
- Cape Woolamai Beach - After crossing the bridge at San Remo, arrive at Phillip Island and head to Cape Woolamai Surf Beach. Enjoy the fresh sea breeze and take a stroll along the beach to admire the breathtaking views of the volcanic coastline. Keep an eye out for Pyramid Rock in the distance!
- Cowes - Savor a delicious meal, explore the lively and unique town of Cowes, or capture stunning seaside photos—there’s excitement and flavor at every turn!
- Phillip Island Nature Parks - Penguin Parade - As the sun sets, head to the Penguin Parade. The Little Penguins emerge from the water only after sunset to avoid aerial predators.
The Penguin Parade requests no photography from this point to protect the Little Penguins’ sensitive eyes and ensure they remain undisturbed. Wildlife Tours fully supports this request, believing you’ll enjoy witnessing this incredible natural event without the distraction of capturing the ‘perfect photo’—immerse yourself in the experience!
- The Nobbies Centre - Upon entering Summerlands, notice the absence of housing, as this area is a National Park. Spot the small wooden man-made burrows where penguins not fishing for the day are hiding. Walk around the boardwalks of ‘The Nobbies’ to see if you can find any Little Penguins in their burrows. Follow the paths to view ‘The Blowhole,’ where waves crash onto the dark volcanic rock. The caves and formations at this rugged peninsula offer dramatic photo opportunities, with Seal Rocks in the background—on sunny days, you might spot Australian Fur Seals basking in the sun.
If you prefer to stay indoors, visit the Nobbies Information Centre to browse the gift shop, enjoy a hot drink, or explore the ‘Antarctic Journey Experience’ (time permitting and at your own expense).
- Melbourne - As you return to your pick-up point, sit back, relax, and reminisce about the day’s magic—filled with stunning sights, laughter, and unforgettable memories. What an adventure!
