St Paul’s Cathedral - We depart Melbourne nice and early to avoid all the traffic and other tour buses.

We have a 2 big day ahead of us.

Cafe La Hoot - Travel through a little country town

McDonald’s - We stop at the town of Colac for a bathroom and coffee break.

The Arch - Our first stop on the Great Ocean road

London Bridge - Visit the famous London Bridge

Port Campbell precinct and foreshore - This is another bathroom stop.

Loch Ard Gorge - Enjoy 2 lookouts plus take the step down into the gorge.

Twelve Apostles - It is now time to take a walk along the board walk to view the 12 apostles.

Helicopter flights over thew apostles are available at an extra cost.

Yatzies - Time for lunch.
Enjoy the gardens and parrots while eating lunch (own cost)

Great Ocean Road Visitor Information Centre - travel through the coastal holiday town of Apollo Bay

Cape Patton Lookout Point - Ocean lookout and photo opportunity

Kennett River - Time to look for koalas and parrots in the trees

Lorne Beach - enjoy the beach and the local shops
Last stop on the great ocean road, before traveling inland to Forrest

Otways Loft - Forrest is our stop for the night,

Additional Information

We dedicate a day to explore the vast Ocean Road, before proceeding to some incredible inland locations. Our itinerary includes searching for the elusive Platypus. We embark on a 1 km journey into the woods, followed by a boat ride on Lake Elizabeth, hoping to spot some platypus in action. It’s a fantastic method to kick-start the day. Furthermore, we tour the Redwood plantation and take in the sight of a cascading waterfall.

Great wildlife and scenery - It was a great trip, filled with scenery and wildlife. We were able to see wild platypuses, as well as stunning views along the coast on the Great Ocean Road. The additional side trip (extra add on) to Wildlife Wonders, at the recommendation of our guide, was well worth it and a highlight of our entire trip to Australia. We had originally signed on a group trip, but the other couple cancelled so they gave us a private trip rather than cancel us. Excellent stay in Forrest at a little country inn, very cozy little place with cockatoos in the garden.

Solo adventurer disappointment - This trip is not for one solo adult, Very disappointed that I could not go on my own for $444.00 as priced I was required to go as a couple and then the trip was going to cost $888.00.
