Emperor Yohannes IV Palace - Atse Yohannes IV’s Palace
Mekele is home to the historic Atse Yohannes IV Palace, named after the renowned King who ruled Ethiopia from 1872-1889. Emperor Yohannes selected Mekelle as his government’s seat and constructed his elegant palace, which remains intact, in the 1870s. Today, the palace functions as a museum. Visitors can view the Emperor’s throne, royal bed, ceremonial attire, rifles, and numerous other valuable historical artifacts. The museum’s highlight is the magnificent throne of Atse Yohannes IV, crafted by Italian engineer Giacomo Nareri in 1874. -
Martyr’s Memorial Monument - The Martyr’s Memorial Monument honors over 60,000 TPLF fighters who perished and more than 100,000 who were injured in the 1991 overthrow of the Marxist Derg regime. Standing 51 meters (167 ft) tall, the monument is located in Adi-Haki sub-city and features numerous sculptures depicting the struggle of peasants and fighters against the Derg soldiers.

Next, we head to visit old and new market then we stop at 16 kebele for especial coffee ceremony tour .
Aftenoon, we visit Abraha castle the old one and beautiful stone hidmo palce and finally we end by visiting the Tigray monument and best mekele view site .
