The Peñol Boulder, in the vicinity of Medellín, is a spectacular point of interest. This 200-metre giant stone can be scaled by a staircase constructed with 740 steps. It offers majestic views of its beautiful environment, filled with green hills and blue water bodies. Guatapé village, known for its church and vibrantly painted houses, adds to the charm. This full-day tour begins with a drive along Antioquia’s Eastern Highlands leading to Peñol village. You’ll get a glimpse of the region’s history before proceeding to the Peñol Boulder for the 740-step climb, offering fantastic aerial views of Guatapé lake. Later, relish a traditional Colombian meal by the Guatapé reservoir’s waterfront and unwind, while exploring the colourful heart of Guatapé village. Conclude the day with a private boat trip on the lake before returning to Medellín.
