Fantastic Graffiti Tour! - The graffiti tour was our favorite cultural experience in Medellin. Our tour guide, Juan, was very informative, professional, and showed us the best time. Comuna 13 was absolutely the highlight. Everyone was proud of the neighborhood and very welcoming. The story behind the art told a great story and highlighted the best that Medellin has to offer. I highly recommend this tour!

Incredible day trip - Carmilo our guide was the reason this was such a great trip. He know everything and everyone. We had a true local as our guide which was key. The view from the graffiti tour was amazing as well as the food! We also got on the metro, metro cable cars, Botero sculpture park, and other stops as well

Hope, Transformation and Peace - The tour got off to a rocky start for me, as the app gave an error message for the same day tour purchase. A quick call to Viator customer service resolved the issue because the tour guide had actually waited an hour at my hotel just for me. My confusion notwithstanding, Viator’s Johann was knowledgeable, well spoken and connected to the community. His waiting went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service. The tour was in depth, experiential, fun and beautiful. A word of advice, take some sunscreen. We stopped and got to know local business owners, posed for pictures and purchased locally. This was a moving experience to see government taking action based upon community leadership and input. Highly recommend Johann, his heart for the community allowed for a more in-depth look at this highly innovative and impactful public work.

Not just another graffiti tour - The tour exceeded our expectations by far. We learnt to understand the history of Medellin through its different forms of art. Our tour guide, Steve, was the best and coolest guide ever! He introduced us the the Medellin history and cultures and also to many local people. We would highly recommended the tour and Steve should Medellin be your next stop!!!

City of Transformation and Contrast - Manuel was great! He explained some of the recent history of Medellin and in particular what lead to the street art project. He has genuine pride for the transformation of Medellin and in particular that of Comuna 13. This is my second visit to Medellin and previously my impression of the city was having dinner with friends in El Problado and I had not truely connected with the story of the city. After taking this tour I have a fresh perspective and much deeper understanding of the recent history of the city and struggle some communities have undergone in order for the transformation to occur. As Manuel said "it's like the story of the Phoenix that has risen from the ashes". I can not express enough how insightful and warm Manuel was on the tour. I left this tour feeling a deeper connection to the city of Medellin and would highly recommend this tour.

We learned so much from our guide... -
We learned so much from our guide, Manuel, about the social and economic progress in Medellin. Our graffiti tour showed the impact of street art in the city and in particular the impact on what was one of the most violent barrios to a vibrant neighbourhood. The best! Made our visit very memorable!

City sights and culture - Poor Julio, to be given a gaggle of high energy, boisterous women to drive through the perplexing Medellin traffic and introduce the joys of Botero, exotic fruits and kilometer high rocky hikes would be a challenge for any single guide. Julio managed to accomplish it all with humor, grace and an eye for personal detail to all present. With his excellent language and historical knowledge, he presented us with the storied beauty of Medellin old and new, providing us with an appreciation of the city and its fine heritage. A huge thanks to Julio and an endorsement to all who seek a guide to the wonders of Medellin!
