Your journey begins with a lovely drive to an exceptional coffee plantation in Antioquia at 8am, where you’ll experience a comprehensive tour detailing the production process of the ideal coffee bean.
Your subsequent destination is the Old Peñol Replica Town in Guatape, a town square constructed to replicate the immersed Old Peñol village, submerged at the base of the manmade Peñol-Guatapé reservoir.
Continuing your tour, you’ll head to Guatape Rock, also referred to as Piedra del Peñol. Here, you can ascent 740 steps to reach the peak, offering an astounding 360° panorama of the encompassing region, including the 500 km shoreline of the dam.
Your final stop before heading back to Medellín is the Guatape town (The City of Zocalos). Here, you’ll stroll along the stunning town streets and uncover the Zocalo tradition and its origins.
