1000/10 - Trekking was amazing. Nang nang was great!! Saw lots of wildlife. They provide plenty of food, tea, coffee, fruits. If I were to do it again, I’d do 5 or 7 days!

Tailored jungle trek and rafting! - Amazing jungle trekking with knowledgeable, kind, and funny guide Musa and jungle chef. Despite the vertical terrain and rainy season waterfalls, it was surprisingly relaxing and Musa went out of his way to accomodate our requests with an extra hike and river trek. Thank you!

Greatly arranged and facilitated trek with the real jungle experience - We did the 2 days and 1 night jungle trek. Absolutely stunning, the jungle is dense with an abundance of many different kinds of monkeys, birds and insects. Especially the urang utans, which were surprisingly easy to find, were very impressive to see although they didn't seem to be very impressed by us :). A few years back there used to be a urang utan sanctuary in the village that changed to a feeding station when the population size drastically improved. Some urang utans are quite used to human presence because of this which means they are comfortable scavenging their fruit trees while you are watching beneath close by beneath. Our guides, dieky and Moussa, were very positive energetic funny guys that were more than happy to tell you about all the different species of animals and plants you'll stumble upon. After a full day trekking you'll sleep at the side of the river where a nice meal is prepared by their 'jungle chef'. The next day there is time to continue trekking or relax by the river before heading back on rafts to Bukit Lawang. All in all a great jungle experience (way better than a jungle trek we did in Thailand a few years ago) with a very well arranged itinerary and facilities without losing the real jungle feeling.

Unforgettable experience - We have a great experience with Bukitt Lawang tours. Good communication in advance. We were picked up at Medan airport, our plane was delayed by 1.5 hours, but the driver was still waiting for us. The tour was great, so beautiful in nature. Orangutans seen up close. We had the feeling that the guides did their very best for us, to find the orangutans, but also to protect us. And don't forget: we had a delicious meal! Both lunch, dinner and breakfast. We had 3 children (7-9-11) with us, they were also taken into account. They were given a beautiful crown of leaves and their faces were painted with charcoal. Spending the night in the jungle was an unforgettable experience. Tip: bring a lightweight air mattress (we were happy with it!) and a pillow. Possibly a sheet bag. There is a thin sheet that you lie under. (Ask in advance what you need to bring - I don't know if this is always the case). The return journey down the river on a raft was also one of the highlights for the children! In short, highly recommended!
