Mechelen - The Alchemist is an urban escape game that takes place in the streets of Mechelen. You will play as an alchemist who investigates the strange accusation of witchcraft of a villager. In order to identify the reasons for this accusation and find out the truth, solve all the puzzles posed by the various witnesses of this story: will you then choose to defend Josyne, or on the contrary to support the accusation of witchcraft?

Entertaining escape game - Nice mix of puzzles and riddles and information about sights in the city itself. It took a while to find the answers, but in the end they were all doable. In terms of percentages we seemed to be a bit behind for a while, but at the end it suddenly went quite quickly and we still had about half an hour left.

Fun app to explore the city with children - I would give 4 stars if I had smaller children or didn't know Mechelen at all. You have the assignments that move the story forward and then you have optional missions. I often play computer games so I thought I would do all the optional missions too. But they didn't really add anything to the story.
The assignments were level 8-12 years, I would say. With maybe one that was a bit more difficult.
I needed the helpdesk and they were very helpful.
