Perfect Private Tour of Mazatlán - Great for families - We booked a private tour for 2 families with young kids. We booked a private tour so that we could tailor it to the attention spans and tolerance of our young kids. Our tour guide Jesus Valdez was friendly and spoke excellent English and showed us the best vistas of Mazatlan and made an excellent itinerary. We were able to see the Malecón, cliffdivers, vista of the lighthouse, driving through Old Mazatlan and the Plaza, stopping at the Cathedral, with time at the market and a stop for lunch. Old Mazatlan was colorful and charming and I’m glad we got to explore it. The market was chaotic but the kids loved hunting down a cheap souvenir there. We even had time for an afternoon visit to the Aquarium which was an unexpected treat. I highly recommend this tour for families.

Best orientation to the city! - Victor gave us a wonderful tour and overview of the city of Mazatlan. we were first timers here and took the 6 hour toor to get the lay of the land. He explained recent history, patterns of development, and showed us around from the Malecon, up to het new Marina district, adn then to the Centro and old city and the Port. We had the most amazing lunch at La Marea, overlooking the lighthouse and the port. Best shrimp we have ever eaten! He picked us up at our condo at 9 as arranged and again home at 3:00. this is a great way to get a feel for what goes on where and get tips for activities and restaraunts for the rest of our week. I would highly recomend this type of tour instead of the less expensive Pulmonias, as wth a professional tour guide and AC we could hear the descriptions of what we were passing and ask questions. Victor never hesitated to pull over and go into more detail about anything we were interested in. One of our group had a broken foot and needed a walker, and he was able to modify the tour so that she could get out at major attractions, or stay in the van and rest while we walked around.

Benji’s a great guide! - Benji’s a Great guide! We saw so much that we never would have seen on our own. Catered to everything we needed. Skirted traffic or we would have sat in it all day.

Stop scrolling and book now! - If I could give it 10 stars, I would!!! This experience was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip! Our tour guide, Raul, was absolutely fantastic! He expertly navigated us through the city, ensuring we hit all the must-see spots, from touristy attractions to hidden gems. Every recommendation he made was spot-on. Raul ensured we had enough time to enjoy everything we wanted to do while still making it back to the cruise ship on schedule. Plus he crept us rolling with the jokes. We would definitely book this again!

Great value and Excellent trip! - We had a great time exploring Mazatlan with our very knowledgeable tour guide. We hit several spots and enjoyed the day. We went to many local places and all were explained well and we knew what to expect in terms of tips etc., before going to locations and felt very safe. The company and guide were very reputable, informative, and made the day very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour and we were happy to have experienced the day with Humberto, he was exceptional!

Great day for a family of 6! - This was our family’s first time to Mazatlan, and we really had no idea where to begin our day of touring the city with all the suggestions given by so many at our resort. We decided to use Mazatlan Van Tours (many great reviews on Trip Advisor) and they sent Jesus to be our personal guide. We had “the best day ever” (as my kids would say) exploring the city and learning so much about Mazatlan’s history with Jesus. He knew so much about the community, landmarks, neighborhoods, restaurants, the market, and the “must see” attractions. We did the 6-hour tour and had plenty of time to see the Golden Zone, beautiful neighborhoods, Old Town, cliff divers, the market, cathedral, boat docks, and more! Jesus was beyond patient with our uncertainty of what to do or where to go, as well as our two younger boys’ multiple potty breaks!! ! We told him the things we knew we wanted to see and asked him to fill in the rest with what he thought was best. He had outstanding recommendations for lunch and dinner, and there was no part of the day that was a disappointment. This part of our stay in Mazatlan was by far our favorite and left us wanting to come back and see more (hopefully with Jesus!)! After being dropped off at our resort, one of our kids said, “He was just so nice. It was like spending a day with your papa!” We couldn’t have asked for a better guide to show us this beautiful city!

Well worth the money! - Jeancarlo Zamora was an amazing driverguide. He warned us about buying silver from the street vendors because it is mostly junk. He also payed for the bathrooms for us when we needed them, which was a surprise to us that we had to pay to use a restroom! We may have went to some of the cruise ship attractions but we missed the cruise ship crowds, which was the point of doing this. He took us to a beautiful beach with a great restaurant where we ate, drank and enjoyed the water. He also took us to a shopping area where we got some great deals on jewelry and other items we were looking for. It was well worth the money!
