Better than a bus! - We had a great experience driving around Port Louis. So much better than being on a big bus. We stopped at a wonderful local restaurant for lunch. Highly recommend this!

Perfect Way to See Mauritius When Traveling from Cruise Port to Airport - My wife and I arrived in Port Louis after a 17 night cruise of the Middle East and Africa. We had 8 hours in Mauritius before our flight back home. So happy to have selected Chucky Taxi to tour Mauritius during our time on the island. The driver picked up us at the cruise port in a beautiful and comfortable minivan. After a drive tour of Port Louis and a stop at the Citadel Fort Adelaide, we visited Durga Maa Murti in Grand Bassin, the world’s biggest statue of Hindu goddess Durga. From there, we proceeded to La Valle des Couleurs Nature Park, where we rented an ATV for an hour-long guided tour of the park. We viewed the 23 Coloured Earth and two waterfalls. After the park, and before being dropped off at the airport, we asked the driver to take us to a traditional Mauritius restaurant. We ended up at Le Rochester, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. This was a perfect way to visit Mauritius between cruise port and airport.

Awesome Experience!!! - Though a few places were closed due to a cyclone that hits the island, my wife and I had a wonderful time visiting other beautiful sites. La vallée des couleurs is a must go place if you like adventures. But the experience will remain a memorable one because of our taxi driver Reuben. He was so nice and friendly and really took his time to ensure we experience the best of Mauritius. We would definitely recommend Chucky Taxi Mauritius to anyone wanting to tour the south of Mauritius and see all the beautiful and natural sites it has to offer.

Nice coffee trip... - Nice taxi driver, unfortunately the tour was prefabricated and included annoying stops like the ship model factory and the tea shop, which are neither an attraction nor nice to look at and are only used to sell products, similar to a coffee trip. Unfortunately, due to the taxi's GPS monitoring, the taxi driver was unable to make any other stops and strictly followed the plan. The next day we ordered a taxi driver via the app for far less money and drove with him to our desired destinations all day long and were also able to get to know the local insider tips from the locals.

Collusion with a some local vendors - It started with a mixup of where to meet (Viator messaged us the night before one thing and they told another) so we started an hour late. Which we got passed pretty quickly and went on to see the sites of Mauritius At the Black River Gorge we saw Macaque monkeys that were really neat. At Chamarel we saw the falls and 7 Coloured Earth. The sketchy part came in when the driver took us not to the rhumerie listed but to a couple of way overpriced places to shop for rum and souvenirs. We learned afterwards that we paid double what we should have. Our driver wasn’t the only one doing it - it happened to others on the cruise ship as well. Just be aware and have them stick to the route and then come back and do your souvenir shopping at the Port Louis market (but wear visable earphones so you can pretend not to hear them all calling at you (and don’t pay much more than 60% of their first offer)

Good way to see the highlights of Mauritius - Good way to see highlights of Mauritius but 2 of the 5 stops were closed. Nothing that wowed us and wouldn’t go again.

Frustrated Travelers - Though the Excursion owner was kind enough to consider rescheduling our unfateful /miserable medical Quarantine of our Cruise Ship the almost 10 itineraries of our trip was cut into 2 ( Craft Market and the Red Top roof Church), the driver was running 50 km / hour on a 110 km speed highway and 30 km on a 60 km speed in a town. He could not follow a GPS map direction on his cell phone , he wasted the order of the tour and must have assumed we were ignorant on what he is doing. Several times I volunteered to drive the Taxi because of his delaying tactics and we were frustrated the way he treated us. I hope Chuckie that the Excursion owner will retrain Cris and Educate his Driver for treating us that way . We hope too he will refund a portion of The $100 we paid.
