2644 Kahekili Hwy - AM Horseback ride is a 2-hour ride that goes gradually up the mountainside to view the waterfalls (seasonal) in the valley from a distance. Then ride down the mountainside all the way to the ocean where you will ride along the coastline (not white sand beach.) There is also an area you are allowed to trot or canter (weather permitting).

Additional Information

Maui Mountain Activities provides the opportunity to explore the West Maui Mountains on horseback. The journey takes you to view distant seasonal waterfalls before descending to the coastline for a ride next to the Pacific Ocean. Marvel at the serenity of Maui’s indigenous rainforests and the majesty of its oceans. If weather conditions allow, there’s a specific spot where you’re free to let your horse run. Along the tour, guides will capture your moments with your camera. The excursion also includes a visit to the petting zoo featuring animals such as mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. The entirety of this adventure lasts for 2 hours and includes complimentary soft drinks.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 10 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.

There will be a big yellow "Maui Mountain Activities Parking" sign on the left side of the road. The guide will arrive at 8am. Once all the guests arrive for the 8:15am check-in, the guide will lead all vehicles up to the ranch where the horses are located.

Great trip! - This was an amazing trip. It was well organized, and the people were very friendly. Some of the best fuse we’ve seen our whole trip. They did a really good job matching our experience level up with the type of horse. They put us on. The ranch itself has many different animals as well which was nice to visit with after.

Fun for beginners and experienced riders! - Booked this trip as a group of six, some intermediate riders and some beginners. All were perfectly paired with an acceptable horse that matched their riding level. Our guides Selena and Ava were amazing. Super friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. They were always making sure people were comfortable. Lots of drinks were provided and saddlebags to your drinks/belongings with you. The trail wasnt difficult some up and down hill areas. The most fun part for most of our group was letting the horses run. Even the beginners tried and LOVED it. Would definitely recommend.

Atv - Nice tour. Had a great time and stopped at some great views along the way . Out tour guide Sarah was friendly as can be and very knowledgeable about the land. I would definitely recommend this anyone. Course was super easy and fun anyone can do it.

Wonderful experience - Had the best time enjoying a relaxing ride with my horse Koja. Staff here is wonderful and the views so good. You enjoy a long ride with your horses. The animals on this farm seem so happy too.

Horse ride through paradise - The views on the ride are postcard beautiful. The horses are well cared for and easy to ride. They ha e a horse for every level of experience. As an intermediate rider I was given the opportunity to run my horse as well. Such a perfect end to the ride. Great guides as well.

Beautiful ride, great for all experience levels! - Such a great time! The guides really care for the horses and are great to talk to. The path they take you on is absolutely stunning and takes you through both a mountain and beach views. They pair you to your horse based on experience, and even give you the chance to canter a bit if you want to. Great for all experience levels! We really enjoyed it!

Nice ride, great horse. - The ride was good, the horse, Crab, was awesome, and the views were beautiful. If you go on this ride see if you can get your pictures taken with the horses legs included! They were cut off in my pics.
