The bikes are equipped with both a throttle mode and pedal-assist functionality.
PLEASE READ:
• A $500 security deposit per bike will be pre-authorized on your credit card upon collection from the store. Charges will be applied only in cases of damage or theft.
• I will not allow any other individual to use the bike I have rented.
• I affirm that I possess the necessary skills to operate a standard or electric bike.
• I acknowledge that by law in Hawaii, electric bike riders must be at least 15 years old.
• I consent to riding solely on designated paved bike paths. Riding on sand or unpaved terrain is prohibited. Deviating from the approved areas indicated on the maps provided on the website is hazardous and will result in a substantial fine. Offenders will be subject to an immediate $500 fine.
• In the event of damage or loss, this pre-authorization will be utilized. The renter is liable for the bike’s full value and will face additional charges if repair or replacement costs exceed the security deposit.

What better place to learn to ride an e-bike than in Maui! - Our favorite part was riding through the beautiful beach park together, with the refreshing breeze blowing in our faces.

Great day in Maui! - The bikes were great. We were given a short inservice on how to use them. Then we were given a great map with the best route to town and along the beach! One of the highlights of our trip to Maui! A little exercise and a LOT of fun!

Best place on Maui to rent e-bikes! - I would highly recommend RideSmart Maui for an e-bike adventure. Nate and Ed were patient, friendly and helpful with our group of first-time riders, the e-bikes were excellent quality, and the scenary was obviously spectacular. Our ride was a high-point of our stay on Maui and RideSmart will be high on our list if we're lucky enough to return one day.

The Road to Front Street! - A friend and I rented the e-bikes and rode 8.6 miles round trip to Front Street. It was a great time! We were able to get pretty far in a few quick minutes. A great and fun way to get around. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. They also have a few different bikes so you can choose what feels most comfortable. I definitely recommend this activity!

Not an ideal location - We weren’t advised that the bike pick up location had changed so we went to the wrong location. No apologies were given for the error. The maze of resorts is not deal for biking, we repeatedly ended up in areas where we shouldn’t have been trying to make our way to the beach. There should also be an option for larger bike seats as those small ones are quite painful. We ended up not even biking for the full two hours because it was just so frosteaying.
