Private Road to Hana Trip - AWESOME! - I'm a local that grew up on Maui and have been to Hana on several occasions, doing the driving myself. This trip was with friends and I wanted to have a more relaxed and personalized trip, booking Magic Of Maui Experience's Private Road trip to Hana. Matt was our guide and on a richter scale, a 10/10! For a 'haole' he was knowledgeable, entertaining, personable, and accommodating to our desires. His Hawaiian pronunciations flawless! We stopped at the routine stops, experienced all kinds of weather (but the worst was on the drive back so that was fine), and had a delicious lunch in Hana (Huli Huli Chicken - yes you buy it yourself but fresh) and at Aunty Virgie's garden to see some unique plants and enjoy the lunch. I wanted to see the Red Sand beach just beyond Hana and was stopped by some activists, claiming the worked for the landowner and it was private property and the trail was closed... beaches in HI are supposedly public and access has to be granted to all of them, even if across private property. I will be better prepared the next time I go back so their claims cannot stop me from accessing a public beach that is very unique. Matt even offered to do a cannonball with me off the falls but the water was a little to chilly for me. It was a great trip and if you want to sit back and relax and enjoy the ride (rather than trying to navigate it yourself), would highly recommend this tour! Plus we left Matt with an unforgettable incident as well!

Best stops on Road to Hana - We had no idea what to expect and were very grateful to have had a tour guide for the Road to Hana. All our favorite moments would not have happened without our tour guide Matt showing us around. It’s a full day activity with plenty of breathtaking views and fun little stops. Best Hana experience! - Charlotte and Nicole took us for an amazing day through Hana. We went to a beach with huge waves, coconut ice cream, cliff jumping, great lunch, lava tube under a banyan tree, and swimming in a waterfall. Amazing day!

Road to Hana the very best tour - Road to Hana did not disappoint. Nicole our guide was so full of knowledge of the area. Took us to many places we did not expect to see. From turtles to hidden waterfalls, caves, beautiful beaches, fresh coconut, beautiful landscape, tasted fruits I’ve never even heard of. We even met a pig named Chanel . Nicole was equipped with everything you could need on the trip. She even surprised me with a lighted birthday dessert and sang happy birthday. Bonus, Nicole also takes the most amazing photos as well. This tour is truly the most memorable tour I have ever been on.

Amazing tour of the Road to Hana! - We had an amazing tour on the Road to Hana. Our guide Nicole was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. They come prepared with everything to make your day enjoyable. It is so nice to just be able to sit back and enjoy the beauty without having to worry about the driving or looking for the best places that the locals know. And they provide you with photos from your day to capture the memories. The private tour allows you to get the most out of your day based on your interests. Fun day on the road, and No Stress! - My husband and I did the Road to Hana ourselves 20 years ago so this time we decided to relax and let Matt do the driving for us - one of our best decisions! We were 2 couples travelling together and we had a fantastic day on the Road to Hana full day tour. One of us was celebrating a 'milestone' birthday and Matt even brought candles to put on her banana bread to celebrate - a very nice touch. He was very knowledgeable about the area and catered to our interests. It was often like he was just one of our friends vacationing with us sharing stories and lots of laughs, while enjoying a beautiful day in paradise. He was a great driver so we were never worried about traveling the twisty-turny road with him. He had towels, snacks and beverages and really everything we needed for the day - some fun props for photos if you wanted, too! The bonus was having a personal photographer on our trip so we didn't have to use a selfie stick or rely on finding someone to take group photos - Thank You so much, Matt! My only suggestion would be to think about what photos you might want as we got to having so much fun, we didn't take as many photos as we should have. That's totally on us, not Matt - he was awesome!

BEST DAY EVER!! Take this tour! - BEST DAY EVER! This is a MUST do tour!! Our guide, Matt, was amazing! We knew very little about the Road to Hana going into this but Matt knew exactly what we needed. Both of our kids had a blast and have not stopped talking about how fun their day was. His energy is nonstop! He climbs waterfalls to allow your children to jump off. He spends time entertaining your kids while you relax on the beach. He caters the trip to your wants and needs. He drops you off at the busy spots and then figures out parking. The guy simply works his butt off to make sure you enjoy the trip. Not only does he work hard to make sure you enjoy the things you do, but he also must have a PhD in Maui history because the guy knows everything. We were stopped briefly on the road due to maintenance on the road and he had us all out of the car eating crazy fruit, smelling root beer plants and playing with some sort of fly trap plant. If you want to do the Road to Hana, hire Matt. He will curate an amazing trip, ensure you are happy, and fill you full of interesting facts about the island. It’s a day we will never forget. The BEST Road to Hana there in Maui! - If you are in Maui and want to do the Road To Hana, booking with Magic of Maui for a private guided tour is a MUST! We booked immediately after speaking with Dana on the phone who put at ease any questions I had and made us excited for the trip. On the day of, Matt was our guide and he was PHENOMENAL. The car was super spacious and comfy, he came so prepared with water, special Hawaiian snacks, beach chairs, hiking poles, the works honestly. He was so fun to talk to the whole ride it felt like we were on the trip with one of our long lost friends. He took us to a secret waterfall for a mini hike and private swim, let us dictate the day for our pace and where we wanted to go, but also provided the best insiders perspective on the best sights and stops. The pizza lunch in Hana was truly delicious! Honestly, it was one of the best tours we’ve ever had while traveling and while a long day, it was so much fun form start to finish. Matt made us feel safe, comfortable, and entertained the entire time and we hope we can come back and see him again sometime.
