Highlights

5230 Makena Alanui - During our kayaking and snorkeling guided activity, we will kayaking and snorkeling in inshore waters on sit on top kayaks (easy and safe!). During late Dec to mid April, we will be whale watching too! Maui Fun.

Upon checking in, we’ll assign you a PFD (aka life jacket), snorkel gear and a kayak. We will then go through our beach construction / safety talk . Guide will answer any questions here too/

Our guide(s) will launch each kayak / group and we’ll all meet on the water where we start the adventure. Paddle some gorgeous shoreline, feel the warmth of the Maui sun on your face,see the sea life explode when we snorkel on the warm Maui waters. Guides will share island folklore, make you laugh some, and of course be of assistance to make sure your paddle is a great one! Upon returning to the shore, guide will land kayaks, we’ll collect the gear and say our Alohas till next time.

Embark on an exciting and enlightening kayaking journey in Maui commencing from Makena Landing and circumnavigating the bay area. The tranquil, transparent sea is ideal for an array of aquatic activities, encompassing swimming, snorkeling, and observing marine life. Glide alongside serene turtles and marvel at the spectacular tropical marine vistas. Cast aside all your concerns and partake in this extraordinary Hawaiian adventure.

Paddling distance is approx 1.5 to 2.0 miles
The 10:30am tour is only available to guests who are 16 years and over.
The 7:15am departure offers ideal weather conditions, more active reef life, better visibility, etc. Best Experience!

The Best Morning Adventure - The experience was above and beyond our expectations. Tyler was an amazing guide. He has a strong love for what he does and an appreciation and pride for Maui culture. The ocean in his happy place. You can tell he respects sea life. Very knowledgeable. He got us close to whales but not too close - safety and respect for these great creatures. Also took us to a spot teeming with sea turtles for snorkeling. All in all, he delivered an outstanding experience

Awesome! - Our guide Jeremiah did such a good job and had a great sense of humor. His instructions on safety were very clear. We saw so many whales while kayaking. This was the most memorable excursion of my Maui trip!

Best kayak and snorkeling experience in Maui - We had the best experience on our turtle reef kayak tour! Our guide was very experienced and was friendly from the beginning! The other people that were reserved for the morning trip did not show up so we had a private tour with the instructor. Niko was awesome! He explained everything in detail, provided functioning equipment, and guided us to a perfect spot to see turtles, fish, reef, and sea urchins. Our trip lasted around 1.5hrs and we saw so much! Would highly recommend doing this tour before doing any others! Niko even suggested local spots to eat and was very easy to get along with.

Ohana on the Sea - Our guide, John, was knowledgeable and entertaining. He made sure everyone on the tour was comfortable and included. He shared the history of the area we were kayaking in, and made sure we all appreciated the beauty of the experience. He was well versed in Hawaiian culture and an excellent guide. We saw one fairly large honu swimming while we were en route to our first snorkel spot, but conditions were murky so we didn’t spot any others. Nonetheless, John made the trip a success and we’d definitely recommend his tour!

Great time!! - We had a great time on the kayak/snorkel tour. We had never snorkeled and our guide Jeremiah was so helpful as well as fun and knowledgeable with lots of information and facts about the islands. We saw lots of turtles fish and beautiful reefs. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide Jeremiah.

Spectacular kayaking and snorkeling with the turtles and great guide. - We had a spectacular trip from beginning to end. The kayaking with easy enough for our kids who have kayaked but are 7 and 9. We had a wonderful trip with Jake our guide who was personable and shared great information about the island and its history. The snorkeling was amazing!! We saw so many turtles and being able to watch them swim in their natural environment was truly awe-inspiring. The fish were everywhere and we saw so many species. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. Great kayaking, great snorkeling and great guide! We come to Maui every year, and this was better than our trip to Molokini. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Our tour guide was very... - Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the island and the area. Full of energy and made sure we had all that we needed. Truly such a beautiful experience. Kayaking was easy and it’s such a gorgeous spot on the island.
