What a great experience, thank you for the Lesson - What a great experience, thank you for the Lesson. It was an early class the water was calm and the instructor was awesome. Paddled to the Cliffs and back only fell once when we came back to shore. I didnt hear hm say look out for that wave LOL

Enjoyed it so much we tried it on our own later! - My partner and I met up with Tyler for a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) lesson our first full day in Maui. Despite being quite laid-back, Tyler showed us everything we needed to know for an introductory SUP experience. He was kind and pleasant, and didn't laugh at how incredibly inept we were. He even gave us some tips on local restaurants. The equipment was in good condition and the water was calm, perfect for us newbies. We had a great time and were actually inspired to try SUP again on our own later in the week. I'd call that as successful an activity as it could possibly be! Definitely recommend this company and Tyler himself as an instructor.

Laughed so much my sides hurt - I have never laughed so much while falling. Listen, these guys were great. The instructors are fun and the environment is beautiful. Go in with an open mind and accept that maybe standing up isn’t for you. I couldn’t keep my balance in check, not for a lack of trying on their part. I stayed on my knees and paddled. I regret nothing. They were great and gave me the best tips on food places to go to! It was a wonderful way to start our day, out in the beautiful water, laughing and getting some exercise in while having a blast.

Only book if you like to laugh - We had such a fun time! While I never quite got the hang of standing up, I’ve never laughed so much while falling down! The instructors are fun, informative and have a great energy. I enjoyed every minute.

Great experience!! - Great instructor. Very patient. We are not that great of swimmers and new to Paddle-boarding, but our instructor made us feel At ease.

The guide was great. The... - The guide was great. The only thing I don’t like how Viator doesn’t tell the name of the company, and if they did it wasn’t straight forward in the email. Because we didn’t know the name of the paddle board company we spent a lot of time walking around trying to find them. Which was frustrating. The paddle boarding lessons itself was great.

Group SUP lesson - We did a group SUP lesson/tour. We had an absolute blast. Nick was our instructor. He was awesome. He’s very friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. Thought use everything we needed to know. He took us to the black rock where we jumped off it back into the water. We had a earlier lesson which is better if you want calmer seas. The later it gets the wind picks up.

Great Family Experience if you can figure out how to get there! - Our instructor, Captain, was amazing!! He was so great with each of us!! He was the best part of the entire experience!! He got all of us up and paddle boarding successfully and made it such a great experience! The not so great: we had the hardest time finding where to meet. We received two different sets of instructions and even after getting the right ones, there’s no way we would have found it without someone FaceTiming us. There was no hut or actual meeting place. We probably walked 2 miles just trying to find them. We arrived on time luckily, but our boards and instructor arrived 15 mins or so late. Once we got going though, it was great!

Fraudulent - Booked this trip from TripAdvisor site. It states this activity is good for ages 0 to 99. I booked it for myself my wife and our 8 year old. When we arrived the morning of the tour on June , told the guide that my son was not a strong swimmer and that I was a bad swimmer. The guide said that for safety reasons we should cancel. We would in the open ocean in 15ft of water with no life jackets. If my son or myself fell off he would have to jump in save us and that could be traumatic to all. I agreed, I called the company right there on the spot. The office in Hawaii agreed and said a full refund would be issued in 3 to 7 business days. It is now August 30th, 2023 and no refund has been issued. The company behind the tour Viator has not issued a refund and says that the only way to cancel and get a refund is to cancel 24 hours in advance. If the advertisement says good for ages 0 to 99, most babies aged 0 to 5 don't swim in the open ocean. This advertisement is false and the company doesn't care or respond.

Guided should stick with the group - My husband and 16 year old daughter did SUP while my 14 year old daughter had a surfing lesson (and I sat on the beach). I'm happy my 16 year old paddle boarded before on lakes as their guide just took off once they got on the ocean. Even on the beach he didn't seem like he wanted to be there. They headed along the shore to Black Rock and then turned around. On the way back they said the guide was way ahead and he never looked back to see where the rest of his group was (he had a young girl riding tandem with him and he seemed annoyed by that). If someone in the group was struggling, he would have never known. My 14 year old surfing didn't have it much better. It was a bit disorganized at the beach and my daughter was put with a larger group as they were waiting for someone to show up. When they got in the water it took forever for a guide to realize my daughter was there to help her catch a wave. Once she connected with a guide it was much better and she did have fun. If she wanted to surf again I would use a different tour.
