Rafa - Excellent excursion! What a spectacular display of Mother Nature! The tour operators are very informative and very helpful. The breakfast with the excursion was in a beautiful plantation, breakfast was very good and the tour operators got it to a very efficient manner for us to be seated and served. In summary excellent excursion and Viator knows how to do it.

Once in a lifetime experience! - The Halakalea sunrise tour was absolutely unforgettable! Watching the sun rise over the crater and clouds was a breathtaking experience, truly one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever witnessed. Our tour guide, Billy, was fantastic. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable. He even provided windbreaker ponchos, which were a lifesaver in the cold, windy weather at 10,000 feet. The entire experience was incredibly well organized, and to top it all off, the breakfast afterward was delicious. Warm, hearty, and the perfect way to end such an amazing morning. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. It's a must-do! We traveled as a family of 12.

Great Info, Vibes & Care! - We loved the tour Abe gave! So much great info and vibes packed into our tour. He was also quick to act when we needed oxygen for one of our kiddos who had altitude sickness and fainted. We had an amazing time and will remember this tour and how special it is for years to come. Thank you for the memories!

Worth it! Experienced tour guides. - Very good experience. They even thought of giving out ponchos so we won’t freeze up in the mountain. Breakfast was also good. Highly recommended!!!!!

Breathtaking view - Was an early start but worthwhile. The Sunrise was spectacular and our guide got us there early enough to get a good viewing position. The tour company provided ponchos that helped with the cold. Other observers were jealous of our ponchos.

Excellent tour- good for POA passengers - Really awesome experience. To be honest we were very lucky. Everett was a solid driver and very safe. Also taught us a lot about the island and the culture, he was born and raised on the island. Pickup was right at 315 as promised. The van was sufficiently comfortable. Getting to the crater early is really important if you want to get a good spot. Definitely bring something warm to wear. The ponchos they provide are nice but if you’re not sufficiently dressed it’s cold. Views are spectacular if the weather is good and you start to get amazing views about 20 min before sunrise. If the night is clear you will see the Milky Way and get some beautiful photo ops if the moon is right. This was well suited to passengers on POA. You get back by 1030 or so.

Sunrise spectacular - Fantastic trip. Really cold be prepared. Everett was our guide provided us with tons of information about Hawaii and the legends. Picked up promptly from cruise ship and dropped us off there as well. Provided us warm ponchos which we really needed. Great experience highly recommend. Lucked out with weather and had amazing photos of the spectacular sunrise.

Great Experience - The view up Haleakala was absolutely breathtaking and the team was awesome. There was a fire on one of the buildings on the Haleaka route and they were redirecting traffic, but our driver was awesome and got us to the top of the mountain in time. They also gave parkas to fight the cold windy weather, which was great. The breakfast and its location was nice too.
