Each lesson includes a 10-15 minute land lesson on the basics of surfing and ocean safety. The rest of the lesson is spent in the water with your instructor. We are dedicated to providing surfing lessons to each student with a fun, safe and unforgettable surf experience. We adapt our style of teaching to the ability of each student. We will go that extra mile to make your surf experience the most memorable highlight of your vacation!

Embark on a surfing voyage that is fun, safe, and truly memorable! All the essentials for surfing are included in a single easy-to-follow lesson. This comprises a brief 10-15 minute on-land instruction about fundamental surfing and marine safety tips. The remaining time is spent in the water under the guidance of your surfing coach. We’re committed to delivering each student a distinctively enjoyable, safe, and memorable surfing tutorial. Our teaching methodology adapts to each student’s competency. We’ll indeed go beyond to ensure that your surfing journey becomes the most cherished part of your holiday!
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required for “Semi-Private Lessons”

Departure Point: Maui Waveriders located across from Kalama Park, on Kihei Road. It is on the corner of Auhana and Kihei Road, next to the HiTech Surf Shop.

Directions: If you are on South Kihei Road coming from South Kihei/Wailea, turn right on Auhana Road. If you are on South Kihei Road coming from North Kihei, turn left onto Auhana Road.

So fun! - Not our first surf lesson but definitely the best one! We had a blast with “Wave Daddy!” The best instructor and such an interesting and fun person to learn from!

Wave Daddy for the win! - My 2 daughters had a semi private surf lesson with Wave Daddy. He was a top notch instructor and made it a very entertaining experience. The group lessons looked very crowded. The semi private was well worth the price.

The best surfing experience - This was our favorite experience in Maui! From checking in, to getting the land training, to going out in the water, we had such a good time. Eddie was our instructor, and he was so patient and helpful to correct our form and made sure we had a great time. One person in our party is not a great swimmer, but the water was shallow and easy to swim in. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn surfing and have a great time!

Surf and turtles in one - Top notch instruction from George and excellent experience for my girls at the lesson. Highly recommend! We used to Maui Surf Riders 9 years ago and loved it so glad we came back! My girls surfed today surrounded by sea turtles! Perfection!
