Fantastic and memorable Road to Hana experience! - On a recent first-time trip to Maui, we had an incredible experience on the Road to Hana trip due in large part to our guide, Victoria (and some truly incredible weather). Victoria brought strong enthusiasm and extensive knowledge to our experience (and certainly knows the best places to take pictures along the route and some great places to eat) - truly it was one of the best excursion experiences we have ever had. If you want to experience the Road to Hana, I truly believe you need to take this tour and ensure to ask for Victoria.

Road to Hana w/ Victoria - We did the private full-day Road to Hana tour with Victoria. Great day! Sweet/personable guide who showed us all the great sights and eats along the way. A sampling of our stops/sights: Ho'okipa Beach overlook, Jaws Country Store for coffee/delicious breakfast, Bamboo Forest, Banana Bread, Waterfalls, jumping off waterfall/swimming, Red Beach, Black beach and blowhole (state park), Rainbow eucalyptus trees, Hula Hula Chicken/ribs for lunch in Hana, Coconut Vegan icecream stop, beautiful/breathtaking overlooks, etc. Highly recommend doing the private tour! Road can be stressful for an inexperienced driver who isn't familiar with the road. When you get to the end you have to return the way you came in! Only thing that could be improved is the condition of the vehicle. Vehicle was run down/worn interior with 157,000 miles. They could use an upgrade/newer model. Other than that was happy with our choice! Aloha!

THIS is the tour you need to book!! - As someone who has done the Road to Hana on my own prior to going with Keep It Simple Hawaii, this is the way to go!!! It's the best of both worlds - the privacy of driving it on your own but the benefit of being with a guide to keep you safe and take you to awesome spots (without having to be stuck in a 15 passenger van). Matias tailored our whole day based on our desired activity level and interests. You will see so much more than if you were to research it on your own or go with a giant group. It was very helpful to have an experienced driver navigate the winding roads so that we could relax - and he was able to drive and plan out our stops more efficiently so that we could fit more in! It is a FULL day of fun and definitely one of the best and most action packed tours I've ever been on! Highly recommend!

A must if you’re going to Maui - Wow! This tour was absolutely amazing and incredibly worth it! We did the NCL cruise and communicating pick up and expected times to be back on the boat was easy. Our tour guide Victoria was awesome and had great knowledge about Maui and local history and stories. The van was comfortable and I felt very confident in her driving skills and abilities to handle this intense drive. Also having the tour and someone driving us allowed us to just enjoy the views versus someone missing out by focusing on driving because I will tell you right now the views are WORTH IT. Every turn and stretch of road reveals something new and wonderful to behold! Plus Victoria was able to take us to special spots and hidden areas we otherwise would not have known existed. I highly recommend taking this tour with this company, ask for Victoria if she is available!

Road to Hana Tour- insider scoop with no stress! - We did a private tour for our family of five on Road to Hana with Matias and it was our favorite experience on the island! We experienced numerous “secret” gems along the way and had sights all to ourselves at times. Matias’ confidence on the road put us at ease. He also hooked us up with some DELICIOUS homemade empanadas at the end of our day. The Most Amazing Road to Hana Tour! - We booked a full day Road to Hana Tour from Keep It Simple, and we had The Most Amazing Day of our week in Maui! Matias, who owns the business, picked us up from our resort in Kapalua right on time at 7am as arranged, his car was very clean and comfortable, and he was the most considerate, kind, knowledgeabe, fun and chillaxed guide you could imagine. The most striking thing was at the end of the long day, it felt like we were old friends or family! The tour itself takes in all the highlights that you've read about, which I won't go over again, and some secret amazing spots that Matias has found over his years of touring and guiding, which I won't spoil for you! Suffice to say Matias will tailor the tour to your interest and abilities, the conditions on the day, and his long experience and skill, and you will have an Amazing time! BEST TOUR IN MAUI! - Best tour in Maui! My husband and I recently celebrated our honeymoon in Maui and took a private full day tour with Keep in Simple Hawaii exploring the Road to Hana! Our tour guide Matias met us at our hotel exactly at 7am then took us on an adventure on the Road to Hana for the entire day. Our 10 hour (but really almost 12 hour trip) included multiple waterfalls, the black sand beach, Aunt Sandy’s banana bread, lava tubes, and more. Matias was super helpful, considerate, and checked in on our wants and needs the entire day. He gave us confidence to be adventurous as well trying different fruits from the island along the trip and even cliff jumping into waterfalls. He was super attentive and wanted to make sure we got to see everything we wanted while exploring the road with him. By the end of the day, I can honestly say, Matias became our friend. We enjoyed the day so much and expressed how much we wanted to explore Haleakalā next that he offered us another half day tour to explore the volcano. We instantly agreed and set up another tour with him. Two days later we met with Matias again and he took us on a half day tour around Haleakalā, Matias took us on 4 hikes including one that brings you to the edge of the crater and one to the summit. He planned everything in perfect timing and found the most perfect spot to view the sunset on this oddly busy day. Matias even brought homemade empanadas to share with us. His mom is starting a business called Pau Empanadas (HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking them out as well on instagram). Matias spent extra time with us to make sure we saw everything we wanted to see. After the sunset and star gazing for a bit, Matias drove us back to our hotel. Our entire experience with Matias and Keep it Simple Hawaii was nothing short of spectacular. We are so grateful to have found this trip on TripAdvisor and will now have memories that will last us a lifetime because of Matias’s efforts and knowledge.
