You dont need to be artistic to make something amazing on the potter’s wheel.
The throwing explanation and demonstrations will walk you through the process step by step in 3 phases:
- Centering-getting the clay centered
- Opening -forming the bottom
- Pulling-making the walls of the vessel
After walking through the first pot you will have time to play and practice more on your own. There is plenty of time for practicing and people make on average between 1-3 pots.
The design of this class is to feel the almost magical experience of turning spinning clay into something functional like a cup or bowl.
After your class I can finish, glaze, and fire the pots you choose to keep for a small shipping and firing fee.
I can ship domestic or international depending on where you live. So no matter where you are from you can still get your hand made creations delivered.

The instruction process is divided into stages: centering, opening, and pulling. After the completion of each part, the students get a chance to practice what they have been taught. We progress together as a group.
