Circle M Ranch, formerly Mendes Ranch - The “Oceanfront Trail Ride” begins at the Mendes Ranch Corral and will take you down the edge of the scenic valley to the coastline where you will have an opportunity to view the magnificent waters of the Pacific Ocean before heading back up to the corral.
At the coastline, our trail guides will take photos of you using your cell phone with the majestic seascape in the background.
*Closed toe shoes are required.

âpaniolosâ (Hawaiian cowboys) on an unforgettable journey as they lead you on horseback through Maui’s Mendes Ranch. Canter up green pastures to the edge of a lush tropical valley, admire views of the Pacific seascape, and see lots of animals such as goats, sheep, cows, peacocks, etc on your morning or afternoon ride which includes, 45mins for briefing & mounting followed by a 1.5hr horseback ride

Beautiful ranch and trail ride. Perfect for this novice. - Fantastic experience. The Circle M paniolos were friendly and helpful. I’m an absolute beginner but was 100% comfortable with my horse and my ride.

Highly recommend - Great time, great views, great cowboy/cowgirl assistance. A highlight of our amazing trip. They also gave an interesting history of the ranch and Hawaiin cowboys/ranching.

Fantastic Maui experience on piece of historic Maui property! - As a family, we are all very experienced riders and love to take horseback rides everywhere we travel. This was one of the coolest experiences of our vacation. You can’t beat these views from horseback…the ranch is a very special place on this earth. The wranglers/cowboys were all very knowledgeable and made the experience fun for everyone. My 12 yo daughter claimed this was the highlight of her Maui trip.

Circle M Ranch Is a Must-Do Adventure - This was an absolutely wonderful experience. The views along the coast were breathtaking! As a long-time Maui resident, I chose Circle M Ranch as an adventure for my daughter and granddaughter when they visited us. The horses' temperament perfectly matched the riders' abilities, and the guides were attentive to everyone's needs. If you love horses, this is the must-do adventure for your time on Maui!

5 Stars - We had the most PERFECT day at Circle M Rach with their kind, professional staff and their beautiful animals! From start to finish, it was an incredible experience. 10/10 and 5 stars! The farm is gorgeous with breathtaking views and they had other animals besides the horses to fawn over. The trail was lovely and was a nice mix of both woods and ocean. Truly spectacular!

Awesome - Fun time. The guides told us lots of interesting stories about the island. They could’ve been a little more responsive to my child’s questions and concerns but overall it was a great day.

Bad experience - We booked a 90-min ride and it was cut short by 20-min for no reason. They took so long to mount the riders, we didn’t leave until 10a and returned at 11:10a. The guides Don & Jordan were nice, but I would never go here again.
