Embark on an exploration of the stunning Wailea coast aboard a traditional Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe. This tour features snorkeling with sea turtles, seasonal whale sightseeing, and lessons on Hawaiian heritage and traditions. Complimentary cold water and snorkeling equipment will be supplied. We begin our journey on the picturesque Polo Beach in breathtaking Wailea, Maui. You’ll receive an introduction to the ancient art of Hawaiian sailing canoe construction and navigation. Following this, we set sail on the Hawaiian Sailing Canoe ‘Ke Anuenue’ straight from the beach, just as it was done in the ancient times. The calm breeze and beautiful scenery offer a singular view of the Maui island.

Park at Polo Beach parking and access Polo Beach through the park. Once you see the beach look to the north and go to the yellow canoe with the red sail. We have a lockbox on the beach for any items with you that you don't want to take on the canoe with us (car keys, wallets, laptops, etc).

One whale of a trip - Simply incredible experience in beautiful Maui. Sage and his coworker Chris were very friendly and showed us a great time. The other couple in the trip with us were very fun as well. We all got lucky and saw several whale jumps right in front of us. We then sailed around a bit, circled a yacht to get a closer look, then sailed back to the starting point. We were all so amazed at the whale sightings that we blew off snorkeling. However, they would have stopped had we said yes. Both Sage and Chris said our whale sightings were a treat and we feel very lucky to have witnessed them. Thanks guys for an awesome experience.

Amazing experience - Vene and Chris were great! Vene taught us so much about Hawaiian/Polynesian culture, which was even more special as my husband and daughter are part Hawaiian. We were able to see several whales while relaxing in beautiful Maui - so peaceful. Highly recommend, would definitely do again!

Amazing, relaxing, insightful and whales! - This was the best experience we had in Maui! The whole family loved it! Sage was a wealth of knowledge about Hawaii and its history. Him and his son were great sailors. This was so much better than a large boat, so relaxing and so close to the water. Snorkeling was a blast, you could hear the whales talk underwater and above. We also got incredibly lucky to have a whale surface like 30 feet from the vessel 😊😮. When we ever get back to Maui this is the one tour I would definitely do again. Thank you Sage and Cru!

Once in a lifetime experience - Thank you Sage and Vene for an unbelievable experience. It was a once in a lifetime memory for my children , the Ash scattering ceremony was everything and more than I could have Imagined. A private charter is the only way to go. Mahalo !!

Hawaiian Canoe Sailing Experience - Absolutely by far the very best experience we had in Maui! Sage and Brody are wonderful! We spent almost 2 hrs in the water snorkeling and experiencing sea turtles and beautiful fish! Very blessed to have found this excursion! Thanks you guys for an unforgettable experience!

Maui Sail - The sailing experience was one of our favorites excursions in Maui! The snorkeling was great! The owner was very experienced and shared so much Hawaiian history! Him and his son were very kind and made the experience wonderful! Our family had the canoe all to ourselves! The weather was beautiful. Our kids are 9, 14,and 17 years old and they along with my husband loved it! I would highly recommend and do it again.

Best Snorkel Experience - Sage provided a lot of great information about the islands. The trip was relaxing and fun. The snorkeling was great and Brody was helpful pointing out hidden gems. I highly recommend this tour.

Think twice before booking small private canoe - Did not happen. Operator cancelled an hour before activity due to strong waves. Disadvantage of small private canoe versus large vessels. Now waiting for refund from either operator, booking company or payment processor.
