Highlights
- 2435 Kaanapali Pkwy - Group lessons are for any students 13 years or older who is able to swim and feels comfortable doing so in the ocean. These group lessons are open for anybody to sign up for and you will all share your instructor(s). We keep our student to instructor ratio at a maximum of four students to every one instructor. We provide beginner level surf instruction as well as a ocean safety briefing prior to entering the water. Our small class size and the latest equipment ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience. Our patient and friendly staff of instructors give you the personal attention you need to stand up on your first time out!

Join our group surf lessons at Sea Maui Surf, and let our expert trainers guide you! Every group session starts with a land class where we cover ocean safety and basic beginner instructions. As these are group lessons, all participants are required to have swimming skills and feel secure to swim in the ocean independently. If you’re not confident about your swimming capability or if you’re younger than 13 years old, we advocate you to enroll for private or semi-private lessons so that the group class experience for others is uninterrupted.

Surfing with the whales! - In addition to learning to surf, we were surfing with sea turtles and then watched wales jumping behind us! Such an incredible experience!

Fun Way to Learn How to Surf! - I have never surfed before but what a great experience this was! The instructors are super helpful and friendly. Felt very comfortable out on the water. Even had photos available for purchase after. Would recommend to anyone who wants to learn how to surf on one of the most beautiful beaches in Maui!

Family Surf - Paddling with the whales and learning a little about surf technique, was a bucket list adventure.
Be brave try it. Highly reccomend one on one lessons.

Learning with lots of fun - My teen boys had so much fun learning the basics of surfing. Their instructor was patient, experienced, friendly, and eager to share surfing tips and techniques. Great experience- totally worth it!

Couldn’t be a better surfing experience - Me and my wife went to Maui for our honeymoon and tried these surf lessons. It was my first time ever trying to surf. It was super cool and everything went so well. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and just overall fun to talk to. They don’t pressure you at all, and keep a very positive attitude and environment. All around, it was an extremely positive experience. 100% recommend.

Great Lessons with Devon - Devon was a great instructor and was very knowledgeable and friendly. The staff as a whole were also very friendly. The spot for surfing was good for beginners while still having decent waves. Obviously that can be weather dependent though. Overall, good experience and would recommend taking lessons with Devon
